Jet pump
A jet pump includes a propulsion system including an impeller coupled to a rotatable shaft configured to receive torque from an engine and an exhaust system including an exhaust flow path configured to direct exhaust from the engine to an exterior of the watercraft, wherein the exhaust system is separate from the propulsion system. The propulsion system includes a water intake configured to take in water from a body of water, the water intake including an intake grate and a base, and an exhaust system including an exhaust flow path configured to direct exhaust from the engine to an exterior of the watercraft, wherein the base of the water intake is configured to be coupled to an exterior surface of a hull of the watercraft.
Personal propulsion devices with improved balance
A personal propulsion device, including a platform configured to support a passenger's body; and at least one fluid discharge nozzle coupled to the platform and angled with respect to the platform, where the angle defined between the nozzle and the platform is between approximately 95° and 120°; where the personal propulsion device is configured to receive pressurized fluid from a remote pressurized fluid source, and where the personal propulsion device is configured to achieve flight.

JET PROPELLED WATERCRAFT AND JET PROPULSION ASSEMBLY
A jet propelled watercraft includes a first exhaust pipe connected to an exhaust port, a catalyst storage connected to the first exhaust pipe, a second exhaust pipe connected to the catalyst storage, and a water lock connected to the second exhaust pipe. The catalyst storage and the water lock are located outward in a width direction with respect to the exhaust port of the engine in a plan view of the jet propelled watercraft.
Watercraft
A controller receives a signal indicating an operating amount and an operating direction of a steering member. When the operating amount of the steering member is greater than or equal to a steering threshold, the controller causes right and left propulsion devices to generate thrusts oriented in opposite directions in a back-and-forth direction such that a vessel body is turned in a corresponding direction to the operating direction of the steering member.

Personal fluid-jet thrust pack which provides rotation for a rider about three axes
The present invention provides lightweight fluid-jet thrust pack which provides three rotational axes and reduced restriction of fluid flow to the output nozzles. A first rotational axis is provided by a first rotatable coupling that is concentric with a coupler for a hose supplying pressurized fluid. The top of the first coupling has a splitter which directs incoming fluid into two splayed stub supply pipes. A preformed, reinforced rubber hose connects each stub supply pipe to one of a pair of coaxial rotatable couplings at opposite ends of a tiltable cross arm assembly that is pivotally secured to tower support bracket that is secured to the first rotatable coupling. An outward rotatable portion of each of the coaxial rotatable couplings is equipped with one boot-mounting platform and a downward-projecting jet nozzle that is in communication with the stub receiver pipe of the same rotatable coupling.
