The trolley can include a drive system, a control system, and a patient support system. The drive system is movably coupled to a support rail. At least a portion of the control system is physically and electrically coupled to the powered conductor. The patient support mechanism is at least temporarily coupled to the patient attachment mechanism. The control system can control at least a portion of the patient support mechanism based at least in part on a force applied to the patient attachment mechanism.
APPARATUS FOR NATURAL TORSO AND LIMBS TRACKING AND FEEDBACK FOR ELECTRONIC INTERACTION
An apparatus for natural torso and limbs tracking and feedback for electronic interaction with fall safety support. The apparatus comprises a body harness worn on the body of a user, a support structure designed to bear the weight of the user in the event of a stumble, trip, or fall, and a plurality of tethers attached at one end to the harness and at the other end to the support structure. One or more sensors are integrated into the system to measure aspects of the user's movement and used as input to control a computer system. In the event of stumble, trip, or fall, all of, or a portion of, the user's body weight is borne by the tethers as a safety mechanism to prevent injury. The system is designed to be used with virtual reality systems wherein the user's vision is blocked or obscured by a virtual reality visor.
Apparatus for transporting a patient
An apparatus for transporting a patient. The apparatus includes a supporting portion to grasp part of the body of a patient. A footboard unit is provided upon which the patient is able to stand when supported by the supporting portion, the footboard unit movable along a floor by movable means. A frame is connected between the footboard unit and the supporting portion. The apparatus is configured so that the footboard unit is able to move in proximity to a bed upon which the patient is lying, whereat the supporting portion can grasp the part of the body of the patient, wherein the frame and the supporting portion are able to support the patient in transitioning from a lying position on the bed to a standing position adjacent the bed as the footboard unit is moved relative to the bed.
DISPLAY OF A THREE DIMENSIONAL RECODRING IN A SYSTEM FOR REHABILITATION
Examples relate to a system to apply stimuli to a human body. The system comprises a three dimensional display, a stimulation element, a specific piece of clothing, a portable background and a controller. The controller comprises a processor, data storage and an instruction set. The instruction set is to cooperate with the processor, data storage, three dimensional display and stimulation element to display a recorded three dimensional representation of an actor in movement and to transmit to the stimulation element stimuli synchronized with the movement. The actor is wearing a piece of clothing having the same aspect as the specific piece of clothing, the actor being located in front of a background having the same aspect as the portable background, the recording being from the actor point of view.
PHYSICAL THERAPY APPARATUS AND METHOD OF USE
An apparatus and method for physical therapy includes a base structure, a roller table positioned on the base structure including a plurality of free motion rollers, at least one motor and/or and at least one air compressor connected to the base structure, a plurality of powered rollers or a contact plate located within the base structure being in contact with the plurality of free motion rollers, at least one pneumatic block with a pneumatic piston connected to the at least one air compressor and being configured to raise and lower the power rollers and/or the contact plate, a load cell in communication with the apparatus being configured to measure and record a patient's response to the transition of the roller table and/or the contact plate, and a programmable logic controller.
Relief system for at least partially relieving the body weight of a person
A relief system for at least partially relieving the body weight of a person includes at least one first fastening device for fastening a first end of a first support device and at least one second fastening device for fastening a second end of the first support device which are formed on a cuff, such that an equally distributed tensile force is exerted on the cuff at the first fastening device and second fastening device when the first support device is guided through a guide device during a movement of the cuff when loaded by at least part of the body weight of the person. This advantageously permits a simple connection in particular of a bedridden patient to the relief system, without the patient first having to be moved, without other medical/therapeutic devices being disturbed, and without limiting the patient's stepping/walking movement.
EXTRACTION SYSTEM, WALKING TRAINING SYSTEM, EXTRACTION METHOD, AND EXTRACTION PROGRAM
The present disclosure provides an extraction system capable of accurately extracting a region of an image where a leg part of a trainee is included. an extraction system including: an image acquisition unit that acquires an image obtained by capturing the trainee; an extraction unit that sets regions of the image on both left and right sides of the belt of the treadmill to regions of the image where the leg part of the trainee is not present and thereby distinguishes the set regions from the region of the image where the leg part of the trainee is included, and extracts the region of the image where the leg part of the trainee is included; and a mask processing unit that applies a mask to each of the regions of the image where the leg part of the trainee is not present.
Bench with Self-Adjusting Gap
Improvements in a bench is disclosed. The bench is configured so the gap between the seat and the backrest is adjusted as angle of the back rest is changed. The gap is maintained my sliding or translating the backrest or the seat on the frame as the angle of the back rest is changed. This can be with a rack and pinion, a tension strap, or a mechanical linkage. The mechanism converts the angular change of the backrest to a linear translation or an arc translation to alter the position of the backrest, seat, or a combination thereof to prevent contact between the seat and the back rest and prevents creation of a large gap between the seat and the backrest that can cause discomfort. In some embodiments, the gap is adjusted based upon an angle of a constrained brace that locks the backrest at fixed angles.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR EXERTING FORCE ON BODIES
Systems and methods for exerting forces on a body, including a support structure defining a space and a plurality of surface contacting units that are configured to exert force upon the body, such that the weight is distributed away from the primary weight bearing regions to non-weight bearing regions of the body, or vice versa, without exerting significant shear or frictional forces on surfaces of the body. The systems and methods may be used to exert forces to cause fluid shift in different compartments of the body. Applications include treatment of various disease conditions including pressure ulcers, heart failure, high blood pressure, preeclampsia, osteoporosis, injuries of spine and to slow microgravity-induced bone and muscle loss. The systems and methods may be used to simulate gravity, weightlessness or buoyancy, in rehabilitation medicine. The system may include a chair, bed, a wearable suit or an exoskeleton.
