A foldable basketball stand has at least one hoop on a rear end surface of a backboard on an upper half portion of a front frame. A middle portion of left/right front rod of the front frame has two first left/right joints respectively. Rear/front ends of a left-top rod and a left-bottom rod of a left frame are connected to a left-middle rod/the left-front rod respectively. Rear/front ends of a right-top rod and a right-bottom rod of a right frame are connected to a right-middle rod/the right-front rod respectively. The basketball training apparatus includes a horizontal bar column, one or more brackets and a processing system. The horizontal bar column is configured to be mounted on a vertical structure and includes a plurality of longitudinal members. The one or more brackets are configured to be mounted on the vertical structure for horizontally adjoining the plurality of longitudinal members of the horizontal bar column together. The horizontal bar column is mounted onto the vertical structure using one or more brackets such that an optimum angle trajectory is created for an apex shot. The processing system operates an interactive device connected with the horizontal bar column. The interactive device is configured to track shot data associated with one or more shots performed by a player practicing on the basketball training apparatus.

According to another embodiment, a method may include: receiving, at a centralized controller, a play data for players using a plurality of basketball hoop devices, the play data comprising shot data comprising ball flight trajectory data, shot angle data, shot distance data, and shot success data; calculating, by the centralized controller, a skill level for each of the plurality of players using the play data; applying, by the centralized controller, a skill leveling algorithm to the shot data to determine parameters for each basketball hoop device based on the skill level of each of the players, wherein the parameters comprise a hoop height, a hoop angle, and a hoop distance; and communicating, by the centralized controller, the parameters to local controllers at the respective basketball hoop device, wherein the local controllers control actuators at the respective basketball hoop devices to implement the parameters.

A crossbar extends between the stanchions. Flexible elements can be used to connect the stanchions to the suction cups. The lengths of the stanchions and crossbar can be adjustable to set the height of the crossbar above the floor and the separation of the crossbars. Detents can allow for adjustably fixing the lengths.

The methods and systems perform steps for ball and posture detection, ball and posture flow generation, shot event identification and classification, and shot analytics generation based on identified shot events and shooter posture flow. Embodiments of the present invention use computer vision techniques to enable a resource-limited mobile device such as a smartphone to conduct the aforementioned steps.
