METHOD OF REAL TIME MONITORING OF A PERSON DURING AN EVENT AND EVENT DYNAMICS SYSTEM THEREOF
A method of monitoring at least one person in an event, comprises providing at least one sensor associated with the person, measuring data using the at least one sensor, wherein the measured data includes data representative of a motion of at least one part of the person's body, the method further comprising, by a processing unit based at least on said data, determining at least one insight, wherein said insight is characteristic of at least one of (a) an action performed by the person in the event and (b) an event situation, thereby facilitating characterization of at least one of the person and the event.
BASKETBALL TRAINING AID
A basketball training aid has a harness removably secured to a body of a player. A bumper is retained at a predetermined position in proximity to the body of the player and represents an obstacle to the player, either to the player's field of view or the movement of the player. In this manner, the bumper provides the player with simulated practice of a basketball skill. The bumper is supported by an elongate attachment, which has a first end connected to the bumper and a second end connected to the harness and configured to support the bumper at the predetermined position in proximity to the body of the player.
Practice aid system
A practice aid system includes: a practice aid device; a hoop sensor system, including first and second pairs of an optical transmitter and receiver, which are mountable on a rim of a basketball hoop; an intelligent ball, including an inflatable ball body, a ball control unit, a ball light source; an intelligent shoe, including a shoe body, a shoe control unit, a motion sensor, a vibrator, and a shoe light source.
MOTION SENSING BASKETBALL TRAINING DEVICE
A motion sensing basketball training device for measuring the movement of a user's wrist and/or thumb during a basketball shot. Embodiments of the present disclosure provide for an apparatus and system that measures the acceleration of a user's guide hand during a basketball shot. If the user's guide arm accelerates above a threshold value, an alert is delivered to the user. The alert indicates to the user that proper technique was not maintained during the basketball shot. Embodiments of the present disclosure include a wrist worn wearable device and/or an application executing on a smart watch.
System and method for improving a basketball player's shooting including a basketball capturing system
A device for gathering and returning basketballs thrown towards a basketball goal is disclosed. The device includes an ejector programmed to launch basketballs to a series of locations selected via an interface having a plurality of interactive indicia arranged in a spaced angular pattern. A basketball retrieval system associated with the basketball goal captures basketballs thrown towards the goal and guides them to the ejector. An upper edge of the basketball retrieval system extends above the rim of the basketball goal.
Blockchain
An Internet of Thing (IoT) device includes a transceiver coupled to a processor. Blockchain smart contracts can be used with the device to facilitate secure operation.
SPORTS TRAINING AID
A sports training system including a set of numbered panels to be placed on a playing or training surface. The training system uses circular panels strategically positioned on the ground to guide a player's feet into a proper sport stance for multiple sports, including baseball, soccer, and basketball. The training system provides multiple circle-shaped panels. The panels are sized appropriately such that when a player being trained places feet on opposite sides of the panel, the player is placed in an athletic stance, approximately shoulder-width apart. The location of the panel on the playing surface places the player in a proper position. The panels may be formed from neoprene. The panel lays flat on a playing surface. Each panel has indicia printed on one side. The panels are positioned throughout the playing surface and may be located appropriately for certain types of offensive or defensive formations.
Dribbling Practice Assembly
A dribbling practice assembly for practicing dribbling a basketball includes a pair of hoops that are coupled together to form a spherical surround for insertably receiving a basketball. An elastomeric band is coupled to and extends upwardly from the hoops. A strap is coupled to the elastomeric band. The strap is removably wrapped around a user's wrist or hand for suspending the hoops from the user's wrist or hand thereby suspending the basketball from the user's wrist or hand. The elastomeric band stretches when the user bounces the basketball downwardly. Moreover, the elastomeric band urges the hoops toward the strap thereby lifting the basketball up toward the user's wrist or hand to train the user in dribbling the basketball.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR IMPROVING A BASKETBALL PLAYER'S SHOOTING
Systems and methods for providing performance feedback regarding a basketball practice session are provided. A user interface associated with a portable basketball launching machine accepts user input indicating a number of different locations at a basketball playing area for the portable basketball launching machine to provide basketball passes for a player to catch and shoot towards a basketball goal as part of the basketball practice session. A detection device ascertains whether the player succeeded in making a basketball goal for each of the basketball passes. A processor receives data from the detection device and generates a representation of a basketball court overlaid with data indicating where the basketball passes were provided and whether said player was successful in making basketball goals.
Basketball shooting training device
A basketball shooting training device includes a main frame, a first vertical rail structure having vertical and oblique rails, a first sliding base, and a first basketball imitation member. The first vertical rail structure is disposed on the main frame. The first sliding base is slidably disposed on the first vertical rail structure for sliding along the first vertical rail structure. The first basketball imitation member is connected to the first sliding base. When the first basketball imitation member is propped and then propelled upwardly by a user's hand, the first sliding base slides from a first initial position on the vertical rail to a shooting position on the oblique rail for guiding the user's hand to complete a set shot along the first vertical rail structure.
