SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR TRACKING DRIBBLING AND PASSING PERFORMANCE IN SPORTING ENVIRONMENTS
20180099201 · 2018-04-12 ·

Systems and methods are provided for tracking a dribbling and/or passing motion associated with a person engaged in either a training session for a sporting event or the live play of the sporting event. In sporting events, a dribbling motion can be associated with a repetitive movement or a short trajectory sequence between changes of direction of a ball, puck or other object used in the sporting event. A passing motion can be associated with the movement of the ball, puck or other object between two people during the sporting event. The system can use one or more sensors to capture information about a person dribbling and/or passing an object and at least one processor to analyze the information to determine and evaluate one or more characteristics associated with the dribbling, the passing motion, or a transition from dribbling to passing.

BASKETBALL SHOT TRAINING DEVICE TO IMPROVE JUMP SHOTS

A training apparatus includes a panel that forms an obstruction proximate an entrance plane of a goal. The panel has one or more apertures that permit an object passage through the entrance plane of the goal. The training apparatus also includes a rotary assembly coupled to the panel and one or more doors in operable communication with the rotary assembly. The rotary assembly has an axis of rotation and at least one arm that rotates there-about. Each door is located proximate a respective aperture and movable between a closed position and an open position based on motion by the rotary assembly.

Simulated dribblefield

An dribblefield simulator improves a dribbler's dribbling skills where the invention simulates a partition of a game dribblefield where dynamic negative space exists between players. The dribblefield simulator can be a moving unit mounted on a fixed chassis with a plurality of dribblefield limiting parts mounted on the fixed chassis and a plurality of dribblefield limiting parts mounted on the moving unit. The chassis can also be a moving chassis. An optional dynamic feedback control system can be mounted on either the fixed or moving chassis that can receive signals from a game projectile and from a dribbler and control the moving units. Multiple moving units can be mounted on either the fixed chassis or the moving chassis.

User configurable trailer

Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, coordinate dynamic adjustments of a trailer based in part on a user profile associated with a user physically present at the trailer and an activity profile associated with an activity selected to be performed at the trailer. A dynamic adjustment may modify a tilt of a lower surface of the trailer. A dynamic adjustment may modify a dimension(s) of the trailer based in part on a detected object(s). Various dynamic adjustments may occur concurrently, individually and/or sequentially. The trailer may be a moveable trailer for temporary attachment with a vehicle.

Basketball training device with mental training feature(s), related systems and methods
12145041 · 2024-11-19 · ·

Systems, methods, and devices for providing mental training during a basketball practice session are provided. A controller receives indication of user selection of a decision mode for the basketball practice session. A custom library of selected basketball moves and associated codes for the basketball practice session is generated by the controller. Before and/or while each basketball is commanded by the controller to be passed by a launching device of a basketball passing machine for the basketball practice session, the controller causes display of one of the associated codes at an electronic display. In this way, the user must recall the move associated with the code.

Systems, methods, and devices for providing mental training during a basketball practice session are provided. A controller commands a basketball passing machine to pass basketballs as part of a basketball practice session. Before and/or while issuing each of the commands to the launching device, the controller causes a specific, respective code to be displayed at the electronic display for a player to see and recall an associated basketball move to be performed. Before and/or while the code is displayed, the controller starts a timer. If a detector records a made basketball shot after the timer reaches a predetermined threshold, the player is notified and any made basketball shots detected thereafter are disregarded, thereby forcing the player to timely recall and perform the basketball move before attempting a shot.

Methods and systems for facilitating interactive training of body-eye coordination and reaction time

A computer implemented method for facilitating training of body-eye coordination using a computing device having access to a camera is disclosed. The method includes receiving a training video of a player from the camera; superimposing a visual cue onto the training video; extracting a body posture flow of the player from the training video by performing a computer vision algorithm on one or more frames of the training video; determining whether the player has responded to the visual cue by analyzing the body posture flow of the player; and generating a feedback to the player in response to determining that the player has responded to the visual cue. Multi-player embodiments of the present invention are also disclosed.
