Electric Drive and Emergency Stop Switch for Boats
A boat having an electric motor coupled with an electrical store is disclosed. The electrical store includes a storage element, and positive and negative poles in current-conducting connection with the storage element. An isolating circuit element is operatively connected to a user activatable emergency stop switch. The isolating circuit element is configured to, upon activation of the emergency stop switch, isolate the current-conducting connection between the storage element and at least one of the poles.
Electric Drive and Emergency Stop Switch for Boats
A boat having an electric motor coupled with an electrical store is disclosed. The electrical store includes a storage element, and positive and negative poles in current-conducting connection with the storage element. An isolating circuit element is operatively connected to a user activatable emergency stop switch. The isolating circuit element is configured to, upon activation of the emergency stop switch, isolate the current-conducting connection between the storage element and at least one of the poles.
ARRANGEMENT AND METHOD FOR INSTALLING PROPULSION UNIT
An arrangement and a method for installing a propulsion unit to a hull of a ship. The propulsion unit comprises an upper part of the propulsion unit attachable to the hull of the ship and a lower part of the propulsion unit where to a propeller shaft is rotatably supported, and the upper part of the propulsion unit having flanges to attach the flanges tightly to the hull, and wherein there is an aperture in bottom of hull where to the propulsion unit is to be installed. The arrangement comprises a plurality of watertight covers covering openings in the bottom of hull and a plurality of watertight covers covering openings in the top of the upper part of the propulsion unit, wherein the arrangement comprises a removable hull-side cover covering at least the opening under it, and at least one removable propulsion unit side cover covering the opening under it and facing the opening, and the removable covers are bolted from the hull-side.
ARRANGEMENT AND METHOD FOR INSTALLING PROPULSION UNIT

MARINE DRIVES HAVING ACCESSIBLE COWLING INTERIOR AND PROTECTIVE COVER
A marine drive is for propelling a marine vessel. The marine drive has a propulsor configured to generate a thrust force in a body of water, an electric motor that powers the propulsor, a battery having a battery port for outputting battery power, a supporting frame that supports the marine drive relative to marine vessel, the supporting frame having a frame interior that retains the battery, and a motor port in the frame interior, wherein inserting the battery into the frame interior engages the battery port with the motor port so that the battery provides electric power to the electric motor. A removable cover is provided on the motor port.

A marine drive is for propelling a marine vessel. The marine drive has a propulsor configured to generate a thrust force in a body of water, an electric motor that powers the propulsor, a battery having a battery port for outputting battery power, a supporting frame that supports the marine drive relative to marine vessel, the supporting frame having a frame interior that retains the battery, and a motor port in the frame interior, wherein inserting the battery into the frame interior engages the battery port with the motor port so that the battery provides electric power to the electric motor. A removable cover is provided on the motor port.
MARINE DRIVES HAVING ACCESSIBLE COWLING INTERIOR AND BATTERY
A marine drive is for propelling a marine vessel. The marine drive has a propulsor configured to generate a thrust force in a body of water, an electric motor which powers the propulsor, a battery having a battery port for outputting battery power, a supporting frame which supports the marine drive relative to marine vessel, the supporting frame having a frame interior which retains the batter, and a cowling on the supporting frame. The cowling has a first cowl portion and a second cowl portion which is movable relative to the first cowl portion into a closed position enclosing the supporting frame and the battery in a cowling interior and alternately into an open position providing access to the cowling interior enabling insertion and removal of the battery.
COUNTER ROTATING PROPELLER POD ELECTRICAL ARRANGEMENT
The disclosure provides a pod propulsion system including first and second counter rotating propellers for providing thrust to propel a marine vessel. The pod propulsion system includes a first electric motor (i) for rotating the first propeller and (ii) electrically coupled to a first drive, the first drive being configured to control the first motor and a second electric motor (i) for rotating the second propeller and (ii) electrically coupled to a second drive, the second drive being configured to control the second motor. The first and second drives respectively control the first and second motors interdependently.
COUNTER ROTATING PROPELLER POD ELECTRICAL ARRANGEMENT
The disclosure provides a pod propulsion system including first and second counter rotating propellers for providing thrust to propel a marine vessel. The pod propulsion system includes a first electric motor (i) for rotating the first propeller and (ii) electrically coupled to a first drive, the first drive being configured to control the first motor and a second electric motor (i) for rotating the second propeller and (ii) electrically coupled to a second drive, the second drive being configured to control the second motor. COUNTER ROTATING PROPELLER POD MECHANICAL ARRANGEMENT
Provided is a pod propulsion system including first and second counter rotating propellers for propelling a marine vessel first and second propeller modules, each including an electric motor having a driving-end configured to rotate the first and second propellers, respectively. Also included are first and second gondolas, each (i) for housing a respective one of the first and second electric motors and (ii) including a boltable interface formed along a lengthwise direction of an extremity of the gondola. A strut (i) connects the first and second gondolas to a hull of the marine vessel (ii) including first and second boltable interfaces. Each of the boltable interfaces of the strut is configured to form a bolted joint interface with a corresponding one of boltable interfaces of the first and second gondolas.
