CONSTANT-SPEED TRAVEL APPARATUS

Constant-speed-travel-apparatus controlling prime-mover so that mobile-body mounted with the prime-mover travels at constant-speed, includes: function-operation-member being instructed activation of speed-maintaining-function of the mobile-body in response to operation by operator; first-speed-operation-member being instructed the travel-speed of the mobile-body in accordance with operation-amount by the operator; second-speed-operation-member being instructed change of the travel-speed by predetermined amount in response to operation by the operator in state where activation of the speed-maintaining-function has been instructed through the function-operation-member; and electronic-control-unit controlling output of the prime-mover based on the operation-amount of the first-speed-operation-member and number of times of operation of the second-speed-operation-member so that the mobile-body travels at constant-speed in the state. The electronic-control-unit deactivates the speed-maintaining-function and controls the output of the prime-mover based on the travel-speed instructed through the first-speed-operation-member when the operation-amount of the first-speed-operation-member exceeds predetermined operation-amount in the state.

Method and apparatus for controlling a waterjet-driven marine vessel
11472531 · 2022-10-18 ·

A system for controlling a marine vessel having first and second steering nozzles and corresponding first and second reversing buckets, comprises a processor configured to receive a first vessel control signal including at least a component corresponding to a translational thrust command in a port direction, and that is configured to provide a set of actuator control signals coupled to and control the first and second reversing buckets. The processor is configured to provide the set of actuator control signals so as to maintain the first reversing bucket substantially in a first discrete position and the second reversing bucket substantially in a second discrete position as long as the first vessel control signal includes a component corresponding to a translational thrust command in the port direction.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR OPERATING A HYDROFOIL BOARD
20230068276 · 2023-03-02 ·

Disclosed is a method for controlling a hydrofoil board powered by a motor driven propeller. The motor is controlled by a hand controller configured with user selectable operating pre-sets including a first operating pre-set, wherein the board is accelerated to a first speed which is less than that required for the board to hydrofoil, and a second operating pre-set, wherein the board is accelerated to a second speed sufficient for the board to hydrofoil. Alternatively, the operating pre-sets may limit the motor power. A system for operating a hydrofoil board is also disclosed, which includes a propulsion control unit comprising a propulsion source, and a hand controller configured to receive a first user input and a second user input and to transmit the user inputs to the propulsion control unit.

PCM controlled charging system
11661165 · 2023-05-30 · ·

A method of controlling an alternator in a marine propulsion system includes receiving a demand value, wherein the demand value relates to an amount of output power produced by the engine that is demanded for propulsion of the marine vessel, and determining whether the demand value exceeds a demand threshold. The alternator is then controlled to reduce the charge current output to the battery and/or reduce a portion of engine output power from the engine that is utilized by the alternator when the demand value exceeds the demand threshold.

Device for generating a force-sensation by friction for an aircraft flight control system
