SURFACE GRAVITY WAVE GENERATOR AND WAVE POOL
A wave pool for generating surfable waves is disclosed. The wave pool includes a pool for containing water. The pool defines a channel having a first side wall, a second side wall, and a bottom with a contour that slopes upward from a deep area proximate the first side wall toward a sill defined by the second side wall. The wave pool further includes at least one foil at least partially submerged in the water near the side wall, and being adapted for movement by a moving mechanism in a direction along the side wall for generating a wave in the channel that forms a breaking wave on the sill. The wave pool further includes one or more passive flow control mechanisms to mitigate a mean flow of the water induced by the movement of the at least one foil in the direction along the side wall.
SELF-PROPELLED WATERBORNE WAVE RIDING SYSTEM
A self-propelled waterborne wave riding system includes a vessel having at least one motor and control system for navigating and propelling the vessel along a body of water. A rider section is located along the top of the vessel and includes a lower platform at the front of the vessel, an upper platform at the back of the vessel, and an elongated angled ride surface that extends between the upper and lower platforms. A pump system is provided along the vessel and includes an impeller assembly that is mechanically coupled to an inboard motor and a water pipe. Water received by the impeller is directed through the water pipe to a horizontally oriented nozzle in the lower platform which pushes the water over the ride surface. Openings in the upper platform return the used water into the body of water.
SURFING INSTALLATION
The invention relates to a surfing installation (10, 10A, 10B) for generating a surfable wave (60), comprising an inclined ramp (50) to the upper end (51) of which water flows via a water inlet (46), which water is accelerated on the ramp (50) to a first flow speed, the lower end (52) of the ramp (50) leading into a region (30) having a lower second flow speed relative to the first flow speed, and a standing wave, in the flow direction, forming in the region (30) as a result of the water flowing at the first, faster flow speed striking the water flowing at the second, lower flow speed. A further functional area for the surfing installation (10) for one or more surfers (80) is achieved, according to the invention, in that at least two walls (506, 508) that define at least one flow channel (504) are arranged in the region of the water inlet (46) and/or of the ramp (50), which walls are movable in rotation and/or in translation, transversely to the flow direction of the water, by means of at least one drive (5046), in order to generate at least one traveling wave (60) that travels transversely to the flow direction.
CURRENT CONTROL SYSTEMS AND WAVE POOLS INCLUDING SAME
A current control system for a wave pool comprising: an array of flow meters disposed within said wave pool; a complimentary array of current generators disposed within said wave pool; and a processor operable to receive data relating to currents within said wave pool from said array of flow meters, wherein said processor is operable to control currents generated by said array of current generators in response to said data relating to currents within said wave pool received from said array of flow meters
Measuring device, control method
Measurement accuracy in sports is improved. A wrist terminal includes a measurement information acquiring unit, a reference atmospheric pressure setting unit, and a state determining unit. The reference atmospheric pressure setting unit sets a reference atmospheric pressure. The state determining unit determines that the wrist terminal is located over water when a difference between the reference atmospheric pressure and a current atmospheric pressure after starting sports is within a predetermined atmospheric pressure range and the wrist terminal is located under water when the difference is outside the predetermined atmospheric pressure range. The measurement information acquiring unit 51 performs predetermined measurement on the basis of the determination result from the state determining unit 54.
SURFING SIMULATION DEVICE AND SURFING SIMULATION METHOD
A surfing simulation device can be wirelessly connected with virtual reality (VR) glasses. The surfing simulation device includes a surfboard, a surfboard base, and a controller disposed in the surfboard base. The controller controls the actions of the surfboard based on scene information associated with a surfing scene displayed in the VR glasses, such that the actions of the surfboard are synchronous with the surfing scene displayed in the VR glasses. The surfboard of the surfing simulation device can make simulating actions in real time by synchronizing with a surfing scene displayed in VR glasses, such that users can experience the immersive feeling.
TRAMPOLINE SCOOTER
There is provided a trampoline scooter (10) includes an elongate deck (12) including an upper surface (12a), a convex lower surface (12b), and rounded lateral edges (16) provided between the upper and lower surfaces (12a, 12b) for engaging a trampoline, a head tube (20) connected to the deck (12), and a column (22) disposed through the head tube (20), an upper end of the column (22) extending beyond the head tube (20) for receiving a set of handle bars.
A TRICK SCOOTER
A trick scooter comprising a base plate, a support member, comprising a first end and a second end, a handle, comprising a first end and a second end, wherein the handle is attached to the second end of the support member. Furthermore, the base plate is manufactured of elastic and flexible material. Such a trick scooter is advantageous as it is lightweight, easy and safe to handle and does not damage the surroundings or cause injury to people nearby.
Exercise device
A multipurpose exercise device having a base that rests on a support surface and a user platform upon which the user stands. The lower end of a perpendicular support post is mounted to the base to axially pivot thereon and the upper end of the post is pivotally mounted to the lower surface of the user platform. The user platform pivots with the support post in a horizontal plane parallel to the support surface and pivots on the support post in a vertical plane perpendicular to the horizontal support surface. Resistance elements are provided having one end mounted to the support post and the other end mounted to the base to control the velocity and angle of pivot of the user platform in the horizontal plane. Preferably, a plurality of resistance elements are provided having one end mounted to the base and the other end mounted to the user platform to control the velocity and angle of pivot of the user platform in the vertical plane. In use, the user stands on the user platform and performs exercise motions to propel the user platform to pivot in the horizontal plane and the vertical plane.
