Method and apparatus for fastening of inflatable ride surfaces
A system, apparatus, and method for constructing or providing a ride surface for an amusement attraction, such as an inflatable surfing attraction. The ride surface may be formed via the connection of a plurality of ride surface portions or segments. The ride surface may be connected via fastening elements that are disposed at an elevation different from that of the top or other surface that is to be used by riders during operation. Cut-outs and/or extrusions within one or more of the ride surface portions or segments may aid in preventing disruptive forces from fluid or water during operation from acting to separate the ride surface portions of segments making up the ride surface. Additional fastening mechanisms may be employed in addition to such fastening elements to further aid in increasing durability.
EXERCISE DEVICE
A multipurpose exercise device having a base that rests on a support surface and a user platform upon which the user stands. The lower end of a perpendicular support post is mounted to the base to axially pivot thereon and the upper end of the post is pivotally mounted to the lower surface of the user platform. The user platform pivots with the support post in a horizontal plane parallel to the support surface and pivots on the support post in a vertical plane perpendicular to the horizontal support surface. Resistance elements are provided having one end mounted to the support post and the other end mounted to the base to control the velocity and angle of pivot of the user platform in the horizontal plane. Preferably, a plurality of resistance elements are provided having one end mounted to the base and the other end mounted to the user platform to control the velocity and angle of pivot of the user platform in the vertical plane. In use, the user stands on the user platform and performs exercise motions to propel the user platform to pivot in the horizontal plane and the vertical plane.
ACTIVE STROLLER ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM
Disclosed apparatus include an active stroller entertainment system including an activity base system, attachable with a stroller chassis, to facilitate a physical activity for a child when the child is inside the stroller, and a protective support system configured to operatively couple with the activity base system to support the child during the physical activity. Embodiments include the activity base system and the protective support system detachably attached with a stroller chassis, at least in part to form an activity area, inside the stroller, sufficient to facilitate the physical activity when the child is inside the stroller, while operatively providing support to the child and protection from physical injury within the activity area during the physical activity. The activity area is configured by comprising equipment particularly related to the physical activity, with which the child can actively interact, to improve the child's physical activity skills.
Multipurpose exercise device for replicating exercise motions for sports and physical therapy
A multipurpose exercise device for replicating exercise motions that has a base on a support surface and a user platform. One end of a support post is axially mounted to the base and the other end is pivotally mounted to the user platform. The platform pivots with the post in a horizontal plane parallel to the support surface and pivots in a vertical plane perpendicular to the support surface. Resistance elements, dampening elements and a linkage system are selectively mounted to the support post and the base to control the velocity and angle of pivot of the platform in the horizontal and vertical plane. Ski and snowboard modules may be mounted to the user platform. The user stands on the platform or modules and performs exercise motions to propel the platform in the horizontal plane and the vertical plane to replicate the exercise motions, e.g., skiing and snowboarding.
WAVE POOL INCLUDING WAVE GENERATOR AND REEFS FOR FORMING PLURALITY OF SURFABLE WAVES
Various embodiments of a wave pool are described that can simultaneously form more than one surfable wave along the wave pool. The wave pool can include a channel for containing water. The channel can include first and second sides and proximal and distal ends. The channel can include a base extending between the first and second sides and between the proximal and distal ends. The base can include a base floor, a primary reef, and a plurality of reformation reefs. The wave pool can include a wave generator configured to travel through the water contained in the channel for forming a body of wave energy. The body of wave energy can include a primary wave formed along the primary reef and reformation waves formed along reformation reefs.
Dynamic artificial wave facility for the practice of surfing
A disclosed facility includes a wave generator, a support including an edge zone, a culminating zone, a progression zone sloping upwardly between the edge and culminating zones, a crest between the culminating zone and a depressed zone depressed relative to the crest, water situated over the edge and progression zones, forming part of an aquatic environment including horizontally contiguous upper and deep regions which are respectively higher than and lower than the edge zone, and an inner zone over the edge and progression zones and which is vertically contiguous with the upper region; the facility being configured such that the water at end of travel of the waves gets past the crest and falls into a reception volume delimited by the depressed zone when the generator is in use; and a fluidic communication below the support linking the deep region to an opening that is open to the reception volume.
WATERPROOF WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS AND METHODS FOR WATER-BASED APPARATUS
A waterproof apparatus including a waterproof enclosure including electronic circuitry, a solar panel and a keypad. The electronic circuitry is configured to communicate data wirelessly when pressure is applied to the keypad. The waterproof apparatus may be mounted to watersport equipment, such as a surfboard, kiteboard, kayak, wind surfer jet ski, paddle board, or a wakeboard.
Sequenced chamber wave generator controller and method
A wave generating apparatus mobile application controller and method is provided in which a mobile controller actuates a plurality of wave generating chambers in sequence using a delay between actuation of each chamber to produce a rideable wave in a pool. The mobile application controller allows the user to select the exact type of wave to be produced by the wave generator apparatus by selecting size, shape, and pattern of the wave. The application also allows the user to use a camera to photograph or record herself or someone else, even while riding a wave.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR GENERATING WAVES
A wave generating system can include a water channel for creating a flow of water to produce a standing wave. A water return passageway can circulate the water back to the inlet of the water channel. One or more pipes can extend under the water channel for circulating the water. A water storage chamber can be positioned below the water channel. Water can be stored in the space between the one or more pipes, and the storage water can be isolated from the water being circulated in the system. The system can produce a hydraulic circuit with hydraulic continuity so that water can be efficiently circulated through the water channel and water return passageway. The system can be modular.
REAL-TIME TEACHING AID DEVICE FOR A BOARD SPORT
Some embodiments are directed to a real-time teaching aid device for a board sport, such as surfing, intended for a person engaging in such a sport. The teaching aid device includes a set of sensors capable of measuring the position, the speeds, and the accelerations of a surf board in a Cartesian coordinate system associated with the board; the set of sensors being connected to a measured data processing unit for determining a deterministic dynamic behavior model of the surf board; at least one signal for providing, in real-time, information relating to the deterministic dynamic behavior model of the board to the person engaging in such a sport and/or to a third party. The invention also relates to a surf board having such a device.
