Plunger wave making generator system
11686116 · 2023-06-27 ·

A wave making apparatus for creating a surfing wave in a body of water. The waves are generated using a round bottom and front mechanical plunger. The plurality of round front plungers are assembled side by side in a vertical manner on a 90 degree back wall. The individual round front plungers actuate up and down, all at the same time, at different times, in sequence and can be placed in different shaped configurations to produce a swell into a body of water which then break of artificial surfing reefs to create a wave for surfing.

[Problem to be solved]

To provide a wave making apparatus for surfing that can make a so-called tubular curling wave suitable for surfing and in which a breaking portion and about to break portion are arrayed in a line.

[Solution]

The wave making apparatus comprises: a water carrying bucket 110 opened at the front, including a bottom plate and a side surface plate, and capable of holding water in a portion of an inner space thereof; a supporting structure 120 that supports the water carrying bucket 110; and a transmission apparatus 130 that moves the water carrying bucket 110 forward at a predetermined speed. The water carrying bucket 100 supported by submerging the water carrying bucket 110 under waterline of the pool such that the front of the water carrying bucket 110 faces the play area of the pool. The transmission apparatus 130 moves the water carrying bucket 110 forward along a track extending forward the play area with the water carrying bucket 100 kept below the waterline. The water held in the water carrying bucket 100 is carried forward and launched, and thereby an isolation traveling wave suitable for surfing is formed.

SEQUENCED CHAMBER WAVE GENERATOR CONTROLLER AND METHOD

A wave generating apparatus mobile application controller and method are provided in which a mobile controller actuates a plurality of wave generating chambers in sequence using a delay between the actuation of each chamber to produce a rideable wave in a pool. The mobile application controller allows the user to select the exact type of wave to be produced by the wave generator apparatus by selecting the size, shape, and pattern of the wave. The application also allows the user to use a camera to photograph or record herself or someone else, even while riding a wave.

WAVE POOL AND WAVE GENERATOR FOR BI-DIRECTIONAL AND DYNAMICALLY-SHAPED SURFING WAVES

A wave pool and wave generating mechanism are disclosed. The wave pool includes a bathymetry that includes a dynamically shapeable reef along a length or circumference of a channel that defines the wave pool. The wave generating mechanism includes a foil that has a shape for bi-directionality based on an adjustment of a yaw angle of the foil. The foil can be further controlled to increase or decrease certain surface areas or other angles of interacting with water in the wave pool.

Artificial wave generation surfing facility

The invention relates to water amusement facilities generating artificial waves for surfing. The technical result is a simpler and lighter design and a shorter assembly and dismantling time along with the capability to control the water flow rate and to stabilize the flow. The above technical result is achieved by the proposed artificial wave generation surfing facility, including a water tank having installed at its upper portion: a working surface having an inclined section and a drainage grille; a submersible pump whose outlet is connected to a water moving device (hydraulic unit), with the hydraulic unit's outlet being positioned above the working surface, the working surface is laid over flooring with a wave generation threshold and the hydraulic unit's outlet is partitioned into sections, the hydraulic unit's outlet has a direct exit channel to the upper edge of the working surface inclined section, while the lower edge of the working surface inclined section makes a smooth transition to the wave generation threshold.

WAVE GENERATOR SYSTEM WITH DISSIPATIVE SHORES

Wave generator system (1) for generating waves in a mass of water (2) for leisure or sporting use, comprising a wave dissipating shore (6) capable of avoiding the formation of rebound waves. The shore (6) has a shore floor (7) with a decreasing height towards the floor (3) under the mass of water (2), a permeable shore ceiling (8) and a plurality of inner compartments (17), each compartment (17) including one or more barriers (22) that offer resistance to the passage of water in a direction towards the mass of water (2) and that leave a water passage space (24) that allows the passage of water in the direction of the mass of water (2). The wave absorbed by the shore (6) loses energy by moving through the compartments and returns to the mass of water (2) due to gravity.

Mobile sheet flow water ride apparatus

The mobile sheet flow water ride apparatus of the present invention utilizes a rigid inclined structure. Ride surfaces, aisle surfaces, and surround fences are covered with protective inflatable air cushions. The ride apparatus of the present invention has non-retractable transport wheels and uses a multitude of adjustable jacks to take the load off the transport wheels and support the ride apparatus. The ride apparatus utilizes a 15,000 gpm double-suction pump driven by a 460-horsepower diesel engine that is transported in its own trailer. Water is pumped from a main storage tank through a horizontally-oriented nozzle that 2.438 meters wide and 6.35 cm high at supercritical speed. The water rushes up the slope, over a berm at the top of the slope, and back into the main storage tank through a square main return grate.
