Thruster system for marine vessels
A boat comprises a hull, a primary steering mechanism carried by the hull, a control station located on the hull, a helm located at the control station, and a thruster system carried by the hull. The primary steering mechanism, such as a rudder, is operable via the helm with a helm input being derived from operation of the primary steering mechanism thereby. The thruster system includes at least one thruster mounted to the hull, distinct from the primary steering mechanism, and a controller. The controller receives the helm input and is configured with program instructions to operate the at least one thruster responsive to the helm input to supplement a corresponding movement of the hull. The controller can also automatically operate the thruster responsive to direction, speed and ballast inputs.
VESSEL OPERATION SYSTEM AND VESSEL
A vessel operation system includes a propulsion apparatus mountable on a hull of a vessel and that includes a prime mover, a steering to change a steering angle of a thrust generated by the propulsion apparatus with respect to the hull, a speed sensor to detect a speed corresponding to a traveling speed of the vessel or a rotational speed of the prime mover, and a controller configured or programmed to control the steering so as to change a maximum value of the steering angle in accordance with a speed data based on the speed detected by the speed sensor.
BOAT SIDE CONSOLE
A modular steering console. The modular steering console has a main console portion having a top side and a side. The top side includes holes for receiving bolts. The side of the main console portion has holes for receiving bolts. The modular steering console has one or more brackets having slots in a top side configured to be fastened to the main console top side by bolts through the slots to allow lateral adjustment of the brackets while allowing a side of the brackets and the side of the main console portion to sandwich a side of a boat.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING OUTBOARD MOTOR
A system for controlling an outboard motor attached to a boat includes an input, a light unit, and a controller. The input is operable by an operator to select a control mode of the outboard motor. The light unit includes a plurality of light sources. The controller is connected to the input and the light unit. The controller controls the outboard motor according to the control mode. The controller controls the light unit to light the plurality of light sources in a pattern indicating a movement of the boat according to the control mode.
Boat with Foot Pedal Operated Braking System
A boat comprising a hull, a steering wheel, an engine power system comprising a first foot pedal that is operated by a user's foot to control the boat's speed through water, and a braking system comprising a second foot pedal that is depressed by the user's foot to slow or stop the boat.
Self Trailered Boat
A towable boat comprising a hull, a front wheel movable between an extended position and a retracted boating position, two rear wheels, each of which is movable between an extended towing position and a retracted boating position, and a trailer tongue movable between an extended towing position and a retracted boating position.
STEERING APPARATUSES AND ACTUATOR APPARATUSES
Steering apparatuses, actuator apparatuses, stators, and electric motors are disclosed.
Marine vessel maneuvering system, and marine vessel
A marine vessel maneuvering system includes a propulsion device, a steering device, a forward/reverse drive switch, a steering wheel, a forward drive operator, a reverse drive operator, and a controller. The forward drive operator and the reverse drive operator are respectively located on one and the other sides of a pivot axis of the steering wheel, and are pivotable together with the steering wheel. The controller performs a forward drive propulsion control and a reverse drive propulsion control to set the propulsive force direction and control a magnitude of the propulsive force according to the operation of the forward drive operator and the reverse drive operator. The controller enables the forward drive propulsion control in a forward drive operation valid range. The controller enables the reverse drive propulsion control in a reverse drive operation valid range.
ELECTRIC POWER STEERING SYSTEM FOR MARINE VESSEL
A steering system for a marine vessel includes a cable translatable in response to a steering input command. The steering system also includes a rudder pivotable to steer the marine vessel. The steering system further includes a link member operatively coupled to the rudder. The steering system yet further includes a sensor positioned to detect a load associated with the cable in response to the steering input command. The steering system also includes an electric power steering system in operative communication with the sensor to receive a signal from the sensor and provide a powered assist to the link member.
Adjustable Boat Console
An adjustable boat console movable between an operating position and a stowed position. The adjustable boat console comprises a housing comprising a back panel that will be positioned flush with a deck of a boat when the adjustable boat console is in the stowed position. The adjustable boat console further comprises a pivotal connecting component connecting the housing to the deck of the boat at a forward edge. The adjustable boat console further comprises an adjusting component. The adjusting component is configured to raise and retract the housing from the deck. A system for adjusting a boat console between an operating position and a stowed position is also disclosed.
