Suitable proteases include metalloproteases and cysteine proteases such as Cathepsin-C. The -defensin, analog, or derivative can be effectively administered parenterally, topically, or orally.

Autonomous wave-powered vessels and fleets for managing fish stock
09802681 · 2017-10-31 · ·

This disclosure provides wave-powered vessels equipped for fish stock management. The vessels have observational sensors for monitoring fish, a positional sensor to determine the geographical location of the vessel, and a transmitter for sending data to a central control unit. The observational sensors may be deployed on a tow body pulled behind the vessel, or the tow body may relay information from sensors located on a separate unit on the bottom or at a defined depth. The control unit communicates with each of the monitor vessels to direct navigation and obtain data from the sensors. Substance distribution vessels in the fleet are equipped to distribute fish food in target area for the purpose of fish farming.

A system for controlling a watercraft includes a data communication module, a device system, an electric power supply, and a controller. The data communication module is operable to perform wireless communication with an external computer. The device system includes at least one electric device. The electric power supply provides electric power to the data communication module and the device system. The controller is configured or programmed to switch between a first mode and a second mode. In the first mode, the controller provides electric power to the data communication module by the electric power supply during both activation and deactivation of the device system. In the second mode, the controller provides electric power to the data communication module by the electric power supply during the activation of the device system, but stops providing electric power to the data communication module by the electric power supply during the deactivation of the device system.

An electrical system for a marine vessel. The electrical system includes a power supply that produces an output. A powered device is electrically coupled to the power supply, where the powered device receives an incoming power from the power supply. An analysis module determines a difference between the output of the power supply and the incoming power received by the powered device. The analysis module compares the determined difference to a first threshold and generates a first signal when the determined difference exceeds the first threshold.
