Airship made of self-sealing material
20180043981 · 2018-02-15 · ·

A solar-powered airship with a hull configured to contain a gas and at least one propulsion assembly with a propulsion device and electric motors configured to drive the propulsion device. The airship may also include a power supply system including solar panels operatively coupled to the electric motors and configured to supply power to the electric motors. The power supply system may also include batteries operatively coupled to the solar panels and configured to receive and store electrical energy supplied by the solar panels, the batteries being further operatively coupled to the electric motors and configured to supply power to the electric motors. The batteries may each be located within an outer envelope of the airship defined by the hull of the airship in a position selected to provide ballast. The solar-powered airship may also include a cargo system configured to contain passengers or freight.

Variable density airship lift chamber system
12187404 · 2025-01-07 · ·

A variable density airship lift chamber system for airships provides more efficient lift control. The airship lift chamber system includes at least one lift chamber filled with lift gas and configured to provide lifting force, a heat exchanger configured to heat the lift gas in the at least one lift chamber, a compressor unit configured to withdraw the lift gas from the lift chamber and to compress the withdrawn lift gas, a pressure tank configured to store the withdrawn compressed lift gas from the compressor unit, a refrigeration orifice formed in the lift chamber, and a valve that connects the pressure tank to lift chamber through the refrigeration orifice. The airship lift chamber system controls density of the lift gas in the lift chamber by heating the gas while removing the gas from the lift chamber and by supplying gas into the lift chamber.

Hybrid VTOL vehicle
09856007 · 2018-01-02 · ·

A hybrid VTOL vehicle having an envelope configured to provide hydrostatic buoyancy, a fuselage attached to the envelope and having at least one pair of wings extending from opposing sides thereof to produce dynamic lift through movement, and a thrust generation device on each wing and configured to rotate with each wing about an axis that is lateral to a longitudinal axis of the envelope to provide vertical takeoff or landing capabilities. Ideally, the envelope provides negative hydrostatic lift to enhance low-speed and on-the-ground stability.

Multipurpose airship and set of airships

The invention relates to a multipurpose airship and, more particularly, to a hybrid dirigible. The airship comprises a body (2) having a parallelepiped shape and docking means (8) comprising four rods connected by a frame and designed to be extractable from the body (2), the ends of these rods being provided each with at least one vacuum cup for adhering to a substantially vertical surface of a building. The docking means (8) are provided with grips adapted to engage with the docking means (8) of another airship of the same design. The invention also relates to a set of airships including at least two said airships. The proposed airship does not require a lot of space for its takeoff and provides fast and secure evacuation of people from tower buildings. In addition, the invention provides the possibility of varying the airship payload directly in flight depending of specific needs.
