AIRCRAFT
An aircraft includes: a bulkhead for partitioning the interior of a fuselage into a front compartment including a cabin in which an occupant rides, and a rear compartment; a battery disposed in the rear compartment and storing electric power for driving an electric motor; and an opening provided in the bulkhead and allowing access to the battery from the front compartment.
Pivoting main landing gear for cargo aircraft
Systems and methods for pivoting main landing gear of a cargo aircraft. One embodiment is a main landing gear of an aircraft that includes a shock strut coupled to a truck with one or more wheels, and a trunnion coupled to a bulkhead and configured to pivotally couple the shock strut with the bulkhead. The main landing gear also includes a folding brace extending from the shock strut in a forward direction toward a nose of the aircraft and configured to stabilize the shock strut. The main landing gear further includes a retraction actuator configured to pivot the shock strut about the trunnion to retract the one or more wheels in the forward direction toward the nose and up toward a fuselage of the aircraft.
COMPACT AIRCRAFT MAIN LANDING GEAR MODULE ALLOWING MODULAR MOUNTING
A module includes two main landing gears and a landing gear bay containing the landing gears. The bay has two lateral walls, a roof wall, a front wall and a rear wall. The roof wall, the front wall and the rear wall together form a pressurization barrier between the bay and a pressurized compartment. By virtue of the landing gear module, it is now possible to assemble and test the main landing gears and the one or more doors and the fairing before they are installed on the aircraft.
Fuel containment system
A fuel containment system for an aircraft is provided. The fuel containment system comprises an upper fuel barrier under a cabin floor, an aft wheel well bulkhead, an aft fuel barrier opposite the aft wheel well bulkhead, a lower fuel barrier associated with a cargo floor, and a lower fuselage skin panel. A fuel tank is created by the upper fuel barrier, the aft wheel well bulkhead, the aft fuel barrier, the lower fuel barrier, and the lower fuselage skin. The fuel tank is integrated into the aircraft and existing structural components are sealed to prevent fuel from leaking out of the integrated fuel tank.

Pressure bulkhead for an aircraft
A pressure bulkhead for the pressure-tight axial closure of a pressurized fuselage of an aircraft or spacecraft that is capable of being put under internal pressure includes dome segments, having an integrated reinforcement, in particular a peripheral reinforcement, which are in each case made integrally from a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic plastics material, and are joined to one another so as to form a pressure dome.

AIRCRAFT INTERIOR LAVATORY
A lavatory for an aircraft cabin includes a wall having a forward wall portion disposed immediately aft of and substantially conforming to an exterior aft surface of an aircraft cabin structure, such as a passenger seat, that is substantially not flat in a vertical plane. The forward wall portion includes a forward projection over an aft portion of the adjacent passenger seat. The forward wall portion can define a secondary space in the interior lavatory space, which can provide an amenity stowage space, and can include design elements providing visual space.

TAIL TIE-DOWN
A tie-down for attachment to an aft tail section of an aircraft for inhibiting damage to the aircraft when the aircraft is on the ground is disclosed. The tie-down has a mount member configured to attach to the aft tail section and a projection member supported by the mount member. The projection member extends in a generally downward direction from the mount member so as to provide a contact surface with the ground that is lower than the aft tail section.
