Aircraft and nose structure for an aircraft

An aircraft includes an airframe, forming a nose structure of the aircraft, and at least one high-level system. The aircraft also includes a wheel well assembly, coupled to the airframe and forming a portion of a nose landing gear bay. The wheel well assembly includes a pressure deck that extends from a right side of the airframe to a left side of the airframe and that forms a portion of a pressure boundary delimiting a pressurized space and a non-pressurized space. The aircraft further includes a floor-panel support, supported by the pressure deck. The aircraft also includes a plurality of transport elements, located between the floor-panel support and the pressure deck.

VARIABLE WIDTH DOOR FOR COCKPIT SECONDARY BARRIER AND OTHER AIRCRAFT CABIN APPLICATIONS

An aircraft is equipped with an auxiliary access control barrier (AACB) to prevent access to an area of the aircraft. The AACB includes laterally extendable door panels that are slidably attached to each other to vary a width of the AACB, a hinge by which the door panels are pivotably attached to the aircraft, such that the door panels are pivotable between a deployed position, in which the door panels are positioned across the opening to prevent passage through the opening and in which the AACB has a first width, and a stowed position, in which the door panels are positioned to allow passage through the opening and in which the AACB has a second width, and one or more locks to prevent relative motion between the door panels to fix the width of the AACB and/or to secure the AACB within the opening in the bulkhead.

Cabin module and layout for a passenger aircraft

A cabin module for a commercial aircraft includes a set of bulkheads defining a quadrant with an inboard wall and converging side walls. The module is sub-divided by a removable partition which splits the module into two passenger compartments. The quadrant shape of the module enables it to overlap an adjacent seat area, thereby using space between seat areas that is otherwise underutilised. In a particular form the modules define a single central aisle which transitions from a pair of parallel aisles aft via a Y-shaped transition region.
