Group Swimming Device
20170296895 · 2017-10-19 ·

An apparatus and method for swim training are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, a cable is secure to a starting block or other fixed object at or near the edge of a pool, and the cable is then extended into the pool. The cable includes, along its length, fixed securement points to which multiple swimmers may be secured, via belts worn by the swimmers, to the cable. Because the swimmers are secured to fixed positions along the cable, multiple swimmers may swim in the same lane without interfering with each other. In another embodiment, the cable may be secured at both ends of the pool.

TRAINING STRAP FOR SWIMMING

A strap for use in swim training to immobilize or restrict the legs to promote proper positioning and to build upper body strength. The training strap is specifically configured and adapted to enable controlled adjustability, quick release functionality, and is formed from an elastomeric material. It is also contemplated that the strap may be combined with other straps of the same kind to create a larger diameter for use in other training exercises.

METHODS OF IMPROVING RESPIRATORY EFFECTIVENESS
20170282049 · 2017-10-05 ·

Methods for improving respiratory effectiveness including inhaling a breath and, while continuously holding the breath, swimming for a period of at least 10 seconds without exhaling or further inhaling, and inhaling a breath and, without exhaling or further inhaling, adopting, and holding for a period of at least 3 seconds, at least one stretch position, which requires constant muscular exertion to maintain.

ATHLETIC TRAINING EQUIPMENT

An exercise apparatus may include a rectangular platform, first and second attachment points, first and second rails and friction reducing runners on the rails. The platform may have an upper face, a lower face, two long edges and two short edges. The first attachment point may be disposed along one of the long edges. The second attachment point may be disposed along the other of the long edges. The first rail may be attached to the lower face of the platform proximal to one of the short edges of the platform. The second rail may be attached to the lower face of the platform proximal to the other of the short edges of the platform. The first and second rails may be spaced apart to define a passageway beneath the apparatus, wherein the passageway is configured to allow the apparatus to pass over a standard sprinter's starting block without contacting any part of the starting block.

SWIMMING TIMER
20220040554 · 2022-02-10 ·

A swimming timer including a fluid container, a fluid channel, a fluid sensor, a control circuit board and a display device. The fluid channel is connected to the fluid container and the fluid sensor, and the control circuit board is wired with the fluid sensor and the display device. The fluid container is installed and mounted on a side-wall of a swimming lane. When a swimmer starts, turns and stops, the fluid container will be touched and compressed forcing the fluid inside to flow into the fluid channel. The fluid sensor detects the fluid flow and generates electronic signals accordingly for the control circuit board and the built-in timing and stopwatch program to use as the input commands of start, lap and stop to compute the swimming time and the number of swimming laps. The display device is to show the results for the swimmer reference.

The present disclosure relates to improved hand swimmer paddles with a bifurcation along a hinged joint that may be placed over a metacarpophalangeal joint of a swimmer. In addition, methods of manufacturing the improved hand swimmer hand paddles with bifurcated portion and methods of training with the improved swimmer hand paddles are also disclosed.

Swimming System Current Generator
20170216697 · 2017-08-03 ·

A current generator for a swimming system may include multiple entrainment pumps that discharge a flow of water into a pool. The entrainment pumps may each have a nozzle, a venturi and an entrainment inlet. In use, the flow of water from the nozzle into the venturi causes water at the entrainment inlet to flow into the venturi along with water from the nozzle. Each entrainment pump is arranged such that the fluid that flows out of the venturi passage is directed within a main passage, and the flow from multiple venturis may be combined and may be directed at least partially against the force of gravity before that fluid is directed out of the main passage outlet and into the pool. In at least some implementations, the fluid flows for at least one foot between the venturi and the main passage outlet.
