Training device for simulating ski movements
A training apparatus/device has a frame and two elongated pedal elements, which are pivotally connected to the frame. The pedal elements are each provided with a footrest and a pedal axle and are, by a coupling element connected to each other, so that the pedal elements, in use of the training apparatus, are held parallel to each other. Further, the training apparatus has a transmission mechanism, which is connected via the coupling element with the pedal elements, as well as resistance mechanism, which is connected to the transmission mechanism and is driven by lateral displacement of the pedal elements. The coupling element is formed by an elongated element, whereby near each of the ends of the pedal elements is connected to the pedal element axles via a ball joint. As a result, this makes the training device less susceptible to interference and compact.

Hang time measurements using wearable electronic devices
Wearable electronic devices that are designed to be worn on the head of a user while the user is swimming can determine swimming strokes and swimming performances of the user using motion sensors. Using a sound speaker, the wearable electronic device can play music and provide audio feedback to the swimmer. By comparing the swimming performance of the swimmer wearing the device with previously recorded swimming data, the wearable electronic device can provide audio comparison results to the swimmer while the swimmer is swimming in water. The wearable electronic device can also support similar functions for jumping actions.

Performance monitoring system
A system for monitoring performance of a user includes at least one processor, and at least one memory including a computer program code. The at least one memory and the computer program code are configured, with the at least one processor, to cause the system to perform operations including obtaining force data measured by at least one force sensor coupled with one or more poles and velocity data measured by at least one sensor for measuring velocity of the user, determining poling power based on the force data and the velocity data, and outputting a poling power indicator based on the determined poling power.
Providing interaction with broadcasted media content
Providing interaction with media content includes broadcasting media content to a display device, associating a downloadable fitness program with the media content with synchronization indicators to synchronize the downloadable fitness program with the media content, and controlling an operational parameter of an exercise machine based on physical characteristics of an environment depicted in the media content.
