The invention relates to a force application device for an aircraft control column, the control column comprising a control lever configured to rotate a first shaft and a second shaft, the force application device comprising a first force feedback member configured to exert a resistive force opposing the rotation of the first shaft, a second force feedback member configured to exert a resistive force opposing the rotation of the second shaft and a common braking device comprising a housing, a first braking member and a second braking member which are coaxial and mounted rotatably inside the housing and configured to engage with the first shaft and the second shaft, respectively, so as to brake them, preferably simultaneously.

A METHOD

A method for controlling an aircraft when taxiing comprising the steps of: measuring an angle of rotation of an active side stick about a first axis and a second axis; receiving an aircraft signal representative of an actual state of the aircraft; generating a control signal based on at least one of: the aircraft signal and the angle of rotation of the active side stick about a first axis and a second axis; transmitting the control signal to the aircraft, whereby the control signal causes an action affecting the actual state of the aircraft; determining a required state of the aircraft; generating a user feedback signal based on at least one difference between the actual state and the required state; and carrying out a user feedback action based on the user feedback signal.

AIRCRAFT HAVING REVERSE THRUST CAPABILITIES

An aircraft having reverse thrust capabilities, the aircraft includes a fuselage, a plurality of flight components configured to enable the aircraft at a low-speed flight mode, a pilot control, a sensor, an energy source, and a flight controller configured to receive the aircraft datum from the sensor at an initial time, wherein the initial time occurs when at least a flight component of the plurality of flight components produces a positive thrust, initiate a reverse thrust command as a function of the aircraft datum at a subsequent time wherein the reverse thrust command causes the at least a flight component of the plurality of flight components to produce a negative thrust, and the subsequent time occurs temporally after the initial time, and command the at least a flight component of the plurality of flight components to enter a speed reversal region.
