Systems and methods for reducing oxidation of friction disks
A system, and associated method, for reducing oxidation of a friction disk may include a braking assembly comprising the friction disk and a coolant loop coupled to the braking assembly, with the coolant loop being configured to circulate liquid coolant from the braking assembly. That is, the coolant loop may be configured to reduce the temperature of the braking assembly, thus reducing the rate/extent of oxidation of the friction disks and potentially enabling the concentration of oxygen around the braking assembly to be reduced.
AIRCRAFT SYSTEM
An aircraft system having a first set of components for performing a function of the aircraft system, and a second, alternative, set of components for performing the function of the aircraft system. The aircraft system has and a controller configured to receive scenario data indicative of a scenario during which the function of the aircraft system is to be performed, and, where each of the first and second sets of components are operational, the controller is configured to select between the first or the second set of components to perform the aircraft system function during the scenario based on the received scenario data. The controller is configured to control the selected set of components to perform the function during the scenario.

Cable-linked brake pedal assemblies
A cable-linked brake pedal assembly for an airplane. The assembly includes a first cable assembly with a first end attached to a pilot-side brake pedal and a second end attached to a first bell crank assembly, and a second cable assembly with a first end attached to a copilot-side brake pedal and a second end attached to a second bell crank assembly. A first connecting rod with a first rod end is attached to the first bell crank assembly and a second rod end is attached to the second bell crank assembly. The connection between the first and second cable assemblies, first and second bell crank assemblies, and first connecting rod is configured such that depressing the pilot-side brake pedal moves the first cable assembly, first connecting rod, and second cable assembly in such a way as to cause a corresponding depression of the copilot-side brake pedal.
AXLE SLEEVE
In a wheeled landing gear of an aircraft, an axle sleeve 10 that includes a low friction wear surface 19 on a portion of an internal surface of the axle sleeve. The low friction wear surface 19 includes a ring 20 of composite material including fibres in a polymer matrix.

Heat shield for an aircraft braked wheel
An aircraft braked wheel comprising a rim integral with a hub for rotationally mounting thereof on an axle of the aircraft along an axis of rotation, the wheel being equipped with a heat shield (11) extending opposite an inner face of the rim to protect the rim from the thermal radiation generated by a stack of discs extending inside the rim, characterized in that the heat shield has a face facing the discs (15) which has longitudinal ribs (16) extending in operation parallel to the axis of rotation of the wheel.
Method of controlling a braking device
A method of controlling a braking device includes receiving a braking torque instruction, on the basis of the received braking torque instruction, setting a first braking torque set point for a first brake and a second braking torque set point for a second brake, measuring a first value of a first parameter representative of the first braking torque and modifying the first braking torque set point as a function of the first value with the aid of a first servocontrol loop, and measuring a second value of a second parameter representative of the second braking torque and modifying the second braking torque set point as a function of the second value with the aid of a second servocontrol loop.
GUIDE SYSTEMS FOR INSTALLING AIRCRAFT STRUCTURES
Guide systems for installing aircraft structures are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a first guide system structured to removably couple to a first aircraft structure having a first hinge component. A second guide system is structured to removably couple to a second aircraft structure having a second hinge component. The first guide system is to engage the second guide system to enable alignment between the first hinge component and the second hinge component during assembly of the first aircraft structure and the second aircraft structure.
HEAT SHIELD CHIN RING
A chin ring heat shield for a wheel assembly arranged to provide a shield between convection and radiation heat from braking components and a tire of the wheel assembly, the chin ring comprising a first, radially extending, flat portion extending from a first chin ring end and a second, concave portion extending generally axially away from the first portion to a second chin ring end, wherein the axial length from the first chin ring end to the second chin ring end is sufficient to block a line of sight between the braking components and the tire when the chin ring is mounted between the braking components and the tire.
