Flexible battery system for a vehicle
A configuration instruction associated with configuring a plurality of batteries which supply power to a plurality of motors in a vehicle is received. The batteries are configuring as specified by the configuration instruction, where the batteries are able to be configured in a plurality of configurations, including: a first configuration where at least some of the batteries are electrically connected together in parallel and a second configuration where at least some of the batteries are electrically connected together in series.
Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Search and Rescue System
A search and rescue drone system includes a buoyant body member, a frame attached to the buoyant body member for carrying a motor and propeller, and an electronic array including a camera, GPS, an EPIRB radio distress beacon, and a transmitter/receiver for remote control flying the drone and communicating with an operator. A laser guidance system may provide coordinates for landing near a swimmer in distress. The search and rescue drone may also be programmed to simply fly to the location of an electronic wearable device, like a bracelet, that is worn by a man overboard. In another embodiment, the search and rescue drone includes pivoting motor mounts, so that it can take off and land vertically with propellers rotating in a horizontal plane, and then the propellers may pivot to rotate in a vertical plane for propulsion across water similar to a fan boat with rescued people aboard.

Motor-wing Gimbal Aircraft, Methods, and Applications
This invention, the Motor-wing Gimbal Aircraft (MGA) is an aerial vehicle and waterborne craft. It launches and lands vertically from the ground and water. In flight, it transitions from vertical, hovering and forward flight to horizontal flight. The MGA embodies multiple configurations and arrangements of motor-wings, propulsion systems and hybrid engine combinations. The MGA uses a fly-by-light system for flight maneuvering and controlling the motorized multi-axis gimbal cockpit. The MGA uses cellular communications together with the Global Positioning System (GPS) for navigation, collision avoidance and restricted airspace avoidance. The MGA uses visible lights to signal its elevation and flight maneuvers. The MGA is constructed of modular apparatuses and assemblies that are interchangeable and work in concert to power and maneuver the vehicle. This invention includes: the method of construction, the method of control, the method of visual light signaling, the method of electronic mapping of airspace (EMA) and the method of navigation. This invention includes flight operation applications and military applications.

Fixed Wing UAV
The disclosure provides a fixed wing UAV, with two propulsion propellers arranged parallel to each other and providing thrust for the UAV, or two traction propellers arranged parallel to each other and providing thrust for the UAV; A plurality of motors configured to drive the two propulsion propellers or the two traction propellers respectively, wherein the thrust ratio provided by the two propulsion propellers or the thrust ratio provided by the two traction propellers is changed to generate asymmetric thrust which controls the active yaw of the UAV. The fixed wing UAV provided by the disclosure improves the reliability of the thrust system and active yaw.
FLYING MACHINE AND FLYING MACHINE USAGE METHOD
A flying machine includes: a flying machine body that includes a rotor blade; a protective member that forms a frame shape inside which the rotor blade is disposed, that is rotatably fixed to both end portions of the flying machine body, and that is pipe shaped; and a connecting wire that passes through an inner portion of the protective member to connect the flying machine body and an external device together.
UNMANNED AERIAL VEHICLE AND WATER SAMPLING METHOD THEREOF
A water sampling method includes acquiring, by an unmanned aerial vehicle, a sampling depth at which a water sample is to be taken. The sampling depth is sent by a portable electronic device or is a preset default depth. The method further includes calculating a descending distance based on the sampling depth and a distance between the unmanned aerial vehicle and a water surface, controlling the water sampler to descend for the descending distance, sampling, by the water sampler, a water sample, and sending a sampling result to a ground station or the portable electronic device.
