Passive-release, snap-fit coupling devices for suspended payload containers of aircrafts
Presented are passive-release, snap-fit coupling devices for attaching cargo to cargo suspension systems, methods for making/using such devices, and aircraft equipped with underbody suspension systems using passive-release, snap-fit coupling devices for securing payloads. An object mounting device is presented for securing an object, such as a cargo container, to a tether hook of a suspension system, such as an aircraft's payload suspension system. The object mounting device includes a base plate that affixes to the object, and a hook latch mounted onto the base plate. The hook latch includes a guide surface adjacent a catch cavity. The catch cavity releasably receives therein the tether hook. The guide surface is oriented at an oblique angle with respect to the base plate in order to slidably engage the tether hook, upon release from the catch cavity and under the force of gravity, to thereby eject the tether hook from the hook latch.
Multirotor aircraft that is adapted for vertical take-off and landing
A multirotor aircraft 10 that is adapted for vertical take-off and landing, comprising a fuselage, a thrust producing units assembly that is provided for producing thrust in operation, and a forward-swept wing that comprises a portside half wing and a starboard side half wing. Each one of the portside and starboard side half wings comprises an inboard section that is connected to the fuselage and an outboard section that forms a wing tip. The inboard sections of the portside and starboard side half wings form a central wing region. The portside and starboard side half wings are respectively connected in the region of their wing tips to an associated outboard wing pod that supports at least two non-tiltably mounted thrust producing units of the thrust producing units assembly.
Connection apparatus of detachable gimbal and unmanned aerial vehicle
A connection apparatus of a detachable gimbal and an unmanned aerial vehicle are disclosed. The connection apparatus of a detachable gimbal includes: an alignment component, where the alignment component is configured to align a circuit connection terminal of an unmanned aerial vehicle with a circuit connection terminal of a gimbal; a pre-installed component disposed on the alignment component, where the pre-installed component moves relative to the alignment component to fixedly connect the gimbal to a fuselage of the unmanned aerial vehicle; and a locking component disposed on the pre-installed component, where the locking component locks the pre-installed component when the pre-installed component moves relative to the alignment component to a preset location.
Aerial launch and/or recovery for unmanned aircraft, and associated systems and methods
Aerial launch and/or recovery for unmanned aircraft, and associated systems and methods are described. A representative system includes a first, carrier aircraft having an airframe, a propulsion system carried by the airframe and positioned to support the carrier aircraft in hover, and a capture line carried by the carrier aircraft and deployable to hang from the carrier aircraft. The capture line is sized to releasably engage with a capture device of a second, carried aircraft. The system further includes a retrieval device positioned to support the carried aircraft for detachment from the capture line.

Unmanned aerial vehicle
An example unmanned aerial vehicle includes a housing; a wireless communication module; a plurality of propulsion systems; and a navigation circuit. At least one of the plurality of propulsion systems includes a motor; and a propeller assembly rotatably connected to the motor. The propeller assembly comprises: a hub structure including a surface facing away from the motor; a first connecting member including a first post and a second post extending in parallel to and spaced apart from the first post, and the first post and the second post are fixed to the surface and are able to move elastically in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction; a first blade detachably coupled to the first connecting member and comprising an opening to which the first post and the second post are coupled; and a cap detachably coupled to the top of the first connecting member.
Integrated Convertible Quadcopter with Full Field of Regard
The present disclosure is directed to unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) comprising a convertible body operably coupled to at least one sensor, and further configured to rotate at least about a longitudinal axis, thereby providing a full field of regard for the at least one sensor, and a plurality of arms extending laterally from the convertible body, each arm of the plurality of arms having a rotor assembly coupled thereto.
