The present invention relates to the field of medical devices. In particular, the present invention relates to an apparatus (10) for assisting the movement of a subject, such as a patient or disabled person, to train and strengthen the muscles of their body, said apparatus (10).

Gait analysis systems are provided with body support systems for user's self-adjustment of body weight force when ambulating with the body support systems. The gait analysis systems with the body support systems can be used with a treadmill or over a fixed surface for gait training and analysis with the ability to adjust the user's body weight force during the collection of gait data. A child may interact directly with one or more elements on the surface of the play panel to actuate the play activity. A child having a disability may also actuate the play activity using an adaptive switch that is communicatively connected to the play panel. In some embodiments, the control unit may be configured to operate the play activity differently depending on whether it is actuated by elements on the surface of the play panel or a connected adaptive switch.

The seat assembly may be pivotably coupled to the frame.
