Walking training system and walking training machine
A walking training system and walking training machine capable of remarkably enhancing the effect of improving an independent walking function are proposed. When a subject having a lower limb functional disorder performs walking training, the degree of dependency on upper limbs can be evaluated by enabling the subject to recognize transitional reductions of a load on a holding part(s) by feeding back the transitional reductions of the load as a sense to feel them.
Adapters for use with dynamometer for subjects having limb impairment
Attachments for isokinetic dynamometers and methods of use thereof are provided for use with subjects having limb impairments. An example dynamometer attachment for use with a subject having an impaired limb includes a frame that has fixed thereto a padded limb support, where the padded limb support is configured to secure an impaired limb of the subject. The padded limb support includes a securing mechanism for securing the impaired limb relative to the frame, and the frame is connected to the dynamometer lever arm via an intermediate connector assembly. The connector assembly permits translation of the padded limb support in at least two dimensions relative to the lever arm prior to securing the frame fixedly in place. The translation adjustability of the attachment facilitates the alignment of the dynamometer attachment to the limb or partial limb of the subject without requiring movement of the subject.
ADAPTED FITNESS EQUIPMENT
An exercise apparatus includes an adjustable frame being attachable to an assistive ambulation device. The adjustable frame includes removable handles, fitting arms located on a lower portion of the adjustable frame to receive a fitness attachment, and attachment points on located on the lower portion of the adjustable frame to couple a resistance device. A jump rope trainer includes a handle; flexible tubing including a handle fastener to connect the handle to the flexible tubing; and a soft sphere shaped object. The flexible tubing includes a soft sphere shaped object fastener to connect the soft sphere shaped object to the flexible tubing.
Straight shotz
The linear orientation of the user combined with a straight forward sliding stroke motion of present invention presents a novel new way to strike a golf ball toward the hole/target. By utilizing a linear line of site between the user's eyes, present invention, golf ball and the cup, this modern orientation of the golfer is similar to a marksman, the rifle, aiming site/scope and the bull's-eye of his target. While transversely rotating the body 90 degrees left or right (depending on handedness) compared to what has come before and incorporating the invention presented here, a new dimension in putting is opened, more accurately matching ones natural connection between their stance and aim. In nearly every other sport, this similar stance stoke/throw/shot is linear and constant due to its recognized effectiveness.
Wheelchair accessible fitness equipment
Fitness equipment is installed in or on a ground surface for enabling an exercise by a user in a wheelchair. The fitness equipment includes a base operably installed adjacent a wheelchair space. The equipment includes an upwardly extending post the base to an upper end, and includes a front facing surface which faces the wheelchair space, and an opposed rear facing surface. A pneumatic cylinder has a first pivot connected to the rear facing surface, and a second pivot attached to a cam, the cam being pivotally attached to a pivot mount of the upwardly extending post. A U-shaped arm assembly that extends from the cam, around the upwardly extending post, to a pair of laterally spaced ends positioned on either side of the wheelchair space without extending into the wheelchair space.
System and method for athletic competition signaling
In a competitive athletic event the disclosed signaling system provides for visually signaling of participants, for example, a lane specific visible indication to begin a race. A sequence of light colors is used to signal the start of a race, and is believed advantageous over an audible start signal, particularly for athletes who are hearing impaired.
PLAYGROUND CLIMBING STRUCTURES
Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to playground climbing structures that provide a pathway defined by a lower surface and bound on each side by a sidewall. The structures may comprise sensory play activities on the interior of the sidewalls as well as on the exterior of the sidewalls. The climbing structure is also adapted so as to be accessible to children of varying physical abilities, including for instance children with disabilities, such as by having at least one platform configured for access from a wheelchair or other mobility device and incremental adjustments in elevation that may be navigated by a child with limited mobility. Embodiments of the climbing structures are assembled from a plurality of components, which can be connected together in a variety of configurations to provide custom modular structures.
COOPERATION SYSTEM BETWEEN A WHEELCHAIR AND EXERCISERS
A cooperation system between a wheelchair and exercisers, allows both a control of the wheelchair's positioning and a locking thereof in a position for the gym exercise, the whole easily controllable by the user, without external aid, and on this regard it comprises: at least a magnetic hooking plate (11), fastened with respect to the exerciser (1) with a predetermined spatial correlation; extensible magnetic means aboard a wheelchair (6), extending therefrom to said at least a hooking plate (11), by determining a mutual positioning between wheelchair (6) and exerciser (1), suitable to perform exercises; and means (13) for driving said extensible magnetic means aboard a wheelchair (6), which can be actuated by the wheelchair's user in seated position from an unlocking position to a locking position and vice versa.
Collision avoidance apparatus
Disclosed herein are systems and methods that relate to a modular protective system designed to be worn or incorporated into a helmet that prevent collisions with other stationary or moving objects by providing a visual and/or audible signal to the user. The system is composed of sensors that provide both directional and velocity information related to objects within the device/wearers surroundings. A computer device receives this information and translates it into a collision path and notifies the wearer of a possible collision and its trajectory.
Support harness
A system for coupling a user to a support apparatus includes a harness for the user, a hoist, and frame. The harness and the hoist have co-operable attachment means for releasably coupling the harness to the hoist. The frame is configured to receive the user, where the harness and the frame have co-operable attachment means for releasably coupling the harness to the frame.
