AIRCRAFT (DRONE)
20220089280 · 2022-03-24 ·

The present invention relates to the field of heavier-than-air aircraft, such as airplanes and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) and, in particular, to emergency rescue systems. The technical objective is accomplished by providing an aircraft, such as a drone, including a powerplant, a parachute, and a body. In particular, the parachute has a fixed shape, it is permanently in an opened state and is connected to the body by rigid braces, while the aircraft center of gravity is located below the aircraft aerodynamic center.

Aerial vehicle safety apparatus and aerial vehicle

An aerial vehicle safety apparatus includes an expandable object, an ejection apparatus, a bag-shaped member, and a gas generator. The expandable object is wound or folded in a non-expanded state and generates at least any of lift and buoyancy in an expanded state. The ejection apparatus is coupled to the expandable object by a coupling member and ejects the non-expanded expandable object into air. The bag-shaped member is provided in the expandable object and wound or folded together with or separately from the non-expanded expandable object, and expands the non-expanded expandable object by at least partially being inflated like a tube. The gas generator is provided in the expandable object and inflates the bag-shaped member by causing gas generated at the time of activation to flow into the bag-shaped member.

System for automatic adjustment of the C.G (center of gravity) point in a powered parachute and flexible wing aerial vehicle

An aerial vehicle (10) has an aerial platform (12) that supports lift elements (11), an engine (14) and a fuel supply (15) and that has a coupling mechanism (16) adapted for coupling to a removable load (17). The lift elements include a soft or flexible wing (11) flexibly coupled to the aerial platform at points of suspension on opposite sides of the aerial platform whose location (A, B) relative to a longitudinal axis of the platform is such that the aerial platform and the attached load has a center of gravity (C.G.) which maintains balance of the aerial platform. An adjustment system (18) is coupled to the points of suspension and is operative for moving the points of suspension relative to the longitudinal axis of the platform when cargo is unloaded from the flying platform to preserve balance.

A dual air-ground operable powered ultralight vehicle comprises a frame and a power apparatus applying power to the propeller and a ground traction element. Attached to the frame is a flexible wing that may allow the vehicle to become airborne when power is applied to the propeller. The wing would be detachable from the frame to allow for ground operations. A power transfer device shifts power of the power apparatus to either the propeller or the ground traction element. The vehicle will fall into the Federal Aviation Authority's Federal Aviation Regulation Part 103, Ultralight Vehicle.
