A cover for a touchscreen user interface of an inflight entertainment display. The cover includes a protective outer element having an external surface in which the surface comprises a layer of ultra-thin glass. The ultra-thin glass includes an inner surface and an opposing outer surface defining a thickness therebetween in a range of 0.02-0.15 mm. A protective inner element is disposed on the inner surface of the ultra-thin glass in which the protective inner element comprises a plastic. The cover is for use in covering a display element of a monitor.

LATERALLY-EXPANDING TRAY TABLE

In a preferred embodiment, an aircraft passenger seat includes a seat back and a laterally-expanding tray table including a telescoping table segment and a main table segment having an interior pocket for receiving the telescoping table segment in a retracted position, where the telescoping table segment is adjacent to the main table segment in a fully extended position to form a contiguous table surface. The seat back may include a mounting region for stowing the laterally-expanding tray table, including a latching mechanism for latching the main table segment in a stowed position. The mounting region may extend across half the width of the seat back. The seat back may include storage region(s) horizontally adjacent to the mounting region, each storage region configured to stow a passenger convenience feature.

The cover member is attachable and detachable to a rear facing surface of a backrest of the seat above a passenger knee level.

Embodiments described herein relate to providing authenticated access to passenger-specific information at a seatback device of a vehicle based on connection with personal passenger devices. A method includes obtaining a unique identifier associated with a passenger device that is wirelessly connected with a seatback device located in a vehicle. The method includes determining whether an account data for a passenger corresponding to the seatback device includes an indication of the unique identifier. The method includes automatically causing, based on a determination that the account data includes the indication of the unique identifier associated with the passenger device, at least a portion of the account data to be displayed at the seatback device.

A seating assembly for a passenger aircraft. The seating assembly includes a plurality of passenger seats including a first passenger seat and a second passenger seat. Each of the passenger seats includes an articulated seat pan to provide for moving the passenger seat between a first upright position and a second reclined position. In addition, the second passenger seat may be positioned in a staggered configuration with respect to the first passenger seat. A fixed outer privacy shell partially surrounds each seat and includes at least one rear wall and a base attached to the floor of the passenger aircraft for receiving each of the passenger seats. In addition, a center console also may be within each of the fixed outer privacy shell and located adjacent to each of the passenger seats.
