Multifunctional seat arrangement for a passenger cabin of a vehicle
A multifunctional seat arrangement for a passenger cabin of a vehicle includes at least one first seat and one second seat which is laterally arranged directly adjacent to the at least one first seat. The second seat is narrower than the first seat, and the second seat has a pivotable seat surface extension which is pivotable into different positions relative to the seat surface of the second seat. Support functions and a child seat function or baby carrier function may be achieved thereby.
Electronic device and information processing apparatus
An electronic device in an aspect of the present disclosure is an electronic device which is mounted on a seat that is turnable around a first axis such that the electronic device is turnable around a second axis. The electronic device includes a detector that detects acceleration information, and a controller that determines which of a turn around the first axis and a turn around the second axis is occurring based on a temporal change in the acceleration information detected by the detector.
Supervision system for an aircraft for monitoring the safe charging of portable electrical devices
A supervision system for an aircraft for monitoring a safe charging of portable electrical devices of a passenger who may be in an attentive or an inattentive state, comprising a passenger seat, a power supply station assigned to the seat and used to supply electrical power to the portable electrical device, the portable electrical device being connected to the power supply station, a camera, which detects the state of the passenger situated on the seat, and an arrangement to distinguish whether the passenger is in an attentive or inattentive state. A method for safe charging of portable electrical devices is also presented and described, comprising the steps of detecting a passenger with a camera, analyzing whether the passenger is in an attentive state or in an inattentive state, and, if the passenger is in an attentive state, supplying a power supply station with electrical power to be provided to a portable electrical device connected to the power supply station.
Methods and systems for storing content for a vehicle entertainment system
Networking methods and systems are provided for a transportation vehicle with seat devices. One method includes detecting operational software installation for a first seat device to access an entertainment system with media files of a virtual local storage (VLS) media set distributed across storage of a portion of the seat devices; identifying a second seat device configured to store the operational software in a downloadable configuration; providing the operational software in the downloadable configuration to the first seat device; installing the operational software at the first seat device; determining that the first seat device is a member of the VLS media set, based on a location of the first seat; transmitting a portion of the VLS media set from one or more seat devices to the first seat device; and persistently storing the portion of the VLS media set at persistent storage of the first seat device.
AIRPLANE SEAT DEVICE
An airplane seat device includes at least one functional unit that is configured at least for a locking, a controlling and/or a movement of at least one airplane seat element, wherein the functional unit includes at least one actuatable shape-memory element.
Communication system
A communication system includes a first terminal and a second terminal including an stow part for stowing the first terminal. The first terminal includes a first light emitter that emits infrared light, a first light receiver that receives infrared light, and a first controller. The first controller causes the first light emitter to emit light based on first specifying information upon receiving a pairing request signal via the first light receiver. The second terminal includes a second stow sensor that detects stow of the first terminal, a second light emitter that emits infrared light, a second light receiver that receives infrared light, and a second controller. The second controller causes the second light emitter to emit light based on a pairing request signal in accordance with detection of stow of the first terminal by the second stow sensor and performs control corresponding to the information including the first specifying information.
Aircraft passenger seating unit and passenger seating arrangement
A layout of passenger seats in an aircraft cabin including a first passenger seat positioned in a forward-facing direction and parallel to an aircraft longitudinal axis, and a second passenger seat positioned to one side of the first passenger seat, in a forward-facing direction, and at an angle with respect to the aircraft longitudinal axis, wherein the second passenger seat is angled toward the first passenger seat.
Reconfigurable modular in-vehicle entertainment monitor systems
In-vehicle entertainment (WE) monitor systems can be reconfigurable and modular to improve heat dissipation characteristics and to enable separate removal or installation of one or more parts within the WE monitor system without affecting the rest of the IVE monitor system. A modular system for providing in-vehicle entertainment to passengers on a commercial passenger vehicle includes a main housing, a peripheral housing, and a display panel that are separately removable or installable. A main printed circuit board (PCB) in the main housing is electrically connected to a secondary PCB in the peripheral housing via the first data cable and the secondary PCB is electrically connected to the display panel via the second data cable in a series configuration.
Upholstery cover retention assembly
An upholstery cover retention assembly is disclosed. In embodiments, the upholstery cover retention assembly includes an upholstered article including an upholstered surface, a bezel including a bezel lip proximate to the upholstered article, and a retention flange disposed on a peripheral surface of the upholstered article. In embodiments, the upholstery cover retention assembly further includes a dress cover assembly including a dress cover configured to at least partially cover the upholstered surface of the upholstered article, and an assembled edge configured to be disposed within a groove formed between the peripheral surface of the upholstered article and the bezel. In embodiments, assembled edge is configured to be secured within the groove by engaging a lower engagement surface of the retention flange and a lower surface of the bezel lip with the assembled edge.
Remote NFC device with aircraft in-flight entertainment (IFE) seatback
Disclosed embodiments are directed at devices, methods, and systems for association of reader devices to IFE monitors in a commercial passenger vehicle. An example method includes determining at a client computing system included in an IFE monitor that at least one reader device is remotely located from the client computing system; using a wired Ethernet connection to a server, the client computing system requesting the server to discover an electronic tag information; and upon the client computing system receiving the electronic tag information from the server over the wired Ethernet connection, the client computing system processing the electronic tag information, wherein another IFE monitor supplies electrical power to the at least one reader device, wherein the client computing system is unaware of a physical location of the at least one reader device, and wherein the server is included in the another IFE monitor.
