This disclosure relates generally to personal electronic device holders. More specifically, the present disclosure relates to phone and tablet holders for use with passenger seating for passenger vehicles, such as a passenger aircraft.

The seat-back display unit can include a rotating latch butterfly release mechanism that prevents unauthorized release of the display unit from the docking station. The system can include a three-point attachment system that provides additional protection against accidental detachment of the display unit, and provide safety in the event of partial dislodging. The system can include a current control pin system that ensures that current is not provided from the docking station to the display unit until the respective connectors have been properly engaged. The system can also include a heat dissipation system that employs the docking station to share the heat dissipation load with the display unit.

An aircraft seat device has a table module and a PED holder configured for supporting a PED in an operable position on the table module, wherein the PED holder comprises at least one holding element which is pivotally connected to the table module, wherein the PED holder comprises a pivot bearing unit, which is configured for pivoting the holding element by more than 180 degrees.

A passenger seat assembly can include a seat frame; a seat back supported by the seat frame, comprising a rearward surface, and moveable between a stowed position and a deployed position; and a monitor shroud positioned proximate to the rearward surface of the seat back and fixedly coupled to a stationary surface, wherein the monitor shroud remains stationary as the seat back moves between the stowed position and the deployed position, and the monitor shroud defines an opening that provides access to the rearward surface of the seat back.

The personal electronic device support may be configured to hold a personal electronic device when the personal electronic device support is in a support deployed position. The magnification lens may be configured to fit within the interior cavity when the magnification lens is in a lens stowed position. The magnification lens may include a lens configured to magnify content displayed on the personal electronic device held by the personal electronic device support when the magnification lens is in a lens deployed position. The personal electronic device support may be parallel to the magnification lens when the personal electronic device is in the support deployed position and the magnification lens is in the lens deployed position.

An inductive wireless power unit with a coil assembly is included with the aircraft passenger seat assembly, and the coil assembly is positioned within the component. A portion of the outer surface of the component covers the coil assembly. Wires connecting the coil assembly to a power supply are hidden from view within the aircraft passenger seat assembly.

A slide may be connected to the front wall to aid in rotating the front wall when inserting or removing a portable electronic device. Induction charging may be provided as well.
