The aircraft seating assembly can include a seat pan, a connection frame, and one or more mounts for removably coupling the seat pan to the connection frame. The aircraft seating assembly can include a back support having a removably coupled cushioning member. The aircraft seating assembly can include a tilt system which can allow the back support to articulate relative to the connection frame. The aircraft seating assembly can include a retention system coupled to the back support, the retention system can retain an object in place when in a closed configuration.
Coupling assembly
Described are portable electronics device coupling assemblies including a cradle configured to electronically couple and releasably engage a portable electronics device, and an adaptor configured to electronically couple and releasably engage the cradle to a passenger seat. Other examples may include a passenger seat having an electronics port configured to electronically couple to the portable electronics device, and a receptacle coupled to the electronics port and configured to releasably engage the portable electronics device. As examples, the portable electronics device may be a tablet computer, a cell phone, a smart phone, a handheld video game system, a personal digital assistant, a palmtop computer, a DVD player, data or audio-video media, or a multi-media enabled device.
PORTABLE ELECTRONIC DEVICE HOLDER FOR SEAT
A portable electronic device holder for a passenger seat includes a base plate, a back plate pivotally attached to the base plate, and at least one movable arm attached to the back plate. The back plate may be adjustable relative to the base plate over a range of approximately 0° to 90°.
SUPPORT FOR CONNECTING A SEAT TO A COMMUNICATION NETWORK
A support configured to be reversibly installed on an upper part of an uncovered backrest of a seat. The support includes a plate configured to bear, completely or partly, against a rear face of the backrest, three clamping mechanisms, a Li-Fi technology data communicator connected to the plate, and a connector. Each clamping mechanism includes a bearing member and a clamping screw that are configured to cooperate with the plate so as to clamp a structural frame of the backrest between the bearing member and the plate. The connector being connected to the data communicator by a cable and being connectable an electronic equipment item.
Secondary personal item support
A passenger seat back can include a rearward surface, a tray table (106) deployable away from the rearward surface of the seat back, and a shelf (108) independent from the tray table (106). The shelf (108) can include a support surface (110) and at least one pivot (116) pivotally coupling the support surface (110) to the rearward surface of the seat back. For example, the support surface (110) may support a passenger's personal entertainment device or other item at a variety of viewing orientations and apart from the tray table (106).
Display Unit for a Vehicle
An entertainment system including a removable seat-back display unit and a docking station. The seat-back display unit can include a rotating latch butterfly release mechanism that prevents unauthorized release of the display unit from the docking station. The system can include a three-point attachment system that provides additional protection against accidental detachment of the display unit, and provide safety in the event of partial dislodging. The system can include a current control pin system that ensures that current is not provided from the docking station to the display unit until the respective connectors have been properly engaged. The system can also include a heat dissipation system that employs the docking station to share the heat dissipation load with the display unit.
Upper shell including an actuatable pocket for an aircraft seat
An upper shell for an aircraft seat may include a main body, and an upper pocket. The upper pocket may include a pocket flap coupled to the main body via at least one pocket flap hinge. The upper pocket may include a pocket cavity defined within the main body. The pocket cavity may be accessible following an actuation of the pocket flap into a pocket flap open position via the at least one pocket flap hinge. The pocket flap may be configured to cover at least a portion of the pocket cavity when the pocket flap is in a pocket flap closed position. The upper shell for the aircraft seat may include a personal electronic device (PED) holder assembly with a PED cavity defined within an area of the upper pocket, and a PED holder configured to fit within the PED cavity when in a PED holder closed position.
Passenger entertainment device, passenger seat arrangement and vehicle
A passenger entertainment device operated by a controller associated with a vehicle passenger seat. The passenger seat includes a seat, a backrest and a pocket in a back surface of the backrest facing away from the seat. The entertainment device includes a base, a display attached to a base front surface and a cover pivotably attached to the base pivotable between a first position, in which the cover covers the display, and a second position, in which the cover exposes the display. A first fastener of the entertainment device is configured to interact with a second fastener on the seat to define a fastening system for detachably fastening the cover to the seat backrest when the cover is arranged in its second position and inserted into the seat pocket, while the base is arranged outside of the pocket with the display facing away from the seat backrest.
QUICK RELEASE SYSTEM FOR IFE DISPLAY SCREENS
A display apparatus receptacle configured to be mounted to a passenger seat. The display apparatus receptacle includes a pair of main latch assemblies releasably connectable to a striker of a display apparatus. The pair of main latch assemblies include an activation rod having an end with sloped teeth. The pair of main latch assemblies also include a lock rod with an end having sloped teeth and attached to a pair of latch plates. The pair of main latch assemblies also include a pair of lock pawls rotatable by movement of the latch plates. The pair of main latch assemblies also include a lock rod spring having a spiral shape about a rod extending axially through the lock rod to connect to the activation rod, the lock rod spring resiliently urging the sloped teeth of the lock rod to engage the sloped teeth of the activation rod.
Headrest cover holder system
A cover for a seat having a headrest includes a stabilizing bracket member that enables a secure attachment of an electronic device for use by a passenger behind the seat. In one embodiment, the cover includes a sleeve defining a chamber, a first opening to the chamber, and a second opening to the chamber. The chamber is sized and shaped to at least partially contain the headrest.
