Headrest-mounted electronic device holder
In an illustrative embodiment, a frame assembly for enclosing an electronic device mounted to a rear surface of a seatback of an aircraft seat includes a rear frame for mounting within a recess of the rear surface of the seatback, a front frame detachably connected to the rear frame such that the electronic device, when mounted in the frame assembly, is enclosed between the front frame and rear frame, the front frame including an opening defining a boundary of a visible screen region of the electronic device, and an adapter disposed between the rear frame and the rear surface of the electronic device, the adapter including an aperture configured to receive the rear surface of the electronic device and raised peripheral edges surrounding the aperture to adapt the dimensions of the electronic device to the dimensions of the rear frame.
Amenities panel for passenger seat for holding passenger belongings and devices
An amenities panel for a passenger seat includes a body and at least one convenience feature. The body includes an aft-facing side and is configured to connect to a backrest of the passenger seat. The amenities panel is configured to be positioned between a forward-facing side of the backrest and a stowed tray table.
Height adjustable tray table
A tray table assembly and aircraft passenger seat arrangement including the same, the tray table assembly including a rail, along which a carriage slides, disposed within an alcove, from which a tray table can be deployed via a link connecting the tray table to the carriage. The link provides both the connection between the tray table and carriage for positioning the tray table horizontally along the rail and the pivotable connections between the tray table, link, and carriage for adjusting the tray table vertically, perpendicular to the rail path. Thus, the tray table assembly may be hidden in the alcove in a stowed position, partially deployed with the tray table vertically offset from the carriage, fully deployed with the tray table outside of the alcove, and any position in between.
Systems and methods for monitor attachment
An attachment system for use in mounting a monitor to a fixture. The system includes a monitor housing that houses a monitor and a fixture housing that attaches to a fixture, where the monitor housing mounts to a recess within the fixture housing. The fixture housing has a hinged tongue-groove joint that allows the monitor housing to engage and disengage with the hinged joint at an installation angle, but does not allow the monitor housing to disengage from the fixture housing at an installed angle. In the engaged position, the monitor housing can rotate relative to the fixture housing via the hinged tongue-groove joint, and can be locked in position to prevent rotation using a locking mechanism. The hinged tongue-groove joint can be tapered to improve self-alignment during installation, and can be configured to elastically compress in the installed angle to minimize movement when installed.
Systems and methods for providing quick release of video monitors from an assembly
A quick release assembly for use in mounting a display system to a fixture. The system includes an attachment assembly on a back side of the display system that receives pins from a mounting bracket into openings of lock modules that include a latch that holds at least one pin in place. The latch is held in the lock position by spring bias. An actuator wire made of a shape memory alloy contracts when an electrical current is applied. The contraction of the wire overcomes the spring bias to move the latch from the lock position to an unlocked position to allow the display system to be removed from the pin.
PASSENGER ENTERTAINMENT DEVICE, PASSENGER SEAT ARRANGEMENT AND VEHICLE
A passenger entertainment device operated by a controller associated with a vehicle passenger seat. The passenger seat includes a seat, a backrest and a pocket in a back surface of the backrest facing away from the seat. The entertainment device includes a base, a display attached to a base front surface and a cover pivotably attached to the base pivotable between a first position, in which the cover covers the display, and a second position, in which the cover exposes the display. A first fastener of the entertainment device is configured to interact with a second fastener on the seat to define a fastening system for detachably fastening the cover to the seat backrest when the cover is arranged in its second position and inserted into the seat pocket, while the base is arranged outside of the pocket with the display facing away from the seat backrest.
MODULAR DISPLAY UNIT AND METHOD OF DISPLAYING AND CONTROLLING CABIN FUNCTIONS
An aircraft cabin system includes: a cabin server that stores an application and a graphical attribute; and a plurality of modular displays connected to the cabin server via a network. Each of the modular displays includes: a modular display dock hardwired to the network; and a modular display body that is detachably attached and electrically connected to the modular display dock. The modular display body includes: a touch screen that displays a GUI; and a processor. The processor sends, to the cabin server, a request for the application and the graphical attribute when the modular display body is coupled to the modular display dock, the cabin server sends, to the modular display body via the modular display dock, the application and the graphical attribute in response to the request.
LOW-PROFILE ELECTRONIC DEVICE HOLDING ASSEMBLY FOR VEHICLES
A holding assembly for holding portable electronic devices increases passenger convenience and comfort. The holding assembly comprises a plurality of independently movable planar members that engage one or more portable electronic devices to hold the portable electronic devices. The planar members may each be moved between a first position and a second position. A portion of the holding assembly may be received within an open portion of a planar member to provide a low-profile geometry. The holding assembly may be opened to hold a portable electronic device and closed when not in use in this manner.
Device for supporting a portable device for an aeroplane seat
The invention relates mainly to a seat intended to be installed in an aeroplane, having: a backrest having a front face against which a passenger is intended to lean, and a rear face on the opposite side from the front face, a tray, notably a retractable tray, known as a meal tray, positioned on the rear face of the backrest,
characterized in that said seat also has a device for supporting a portable screen, comprising a support element that is positioned on the rear face of the backrest and movable between a folded position and a deployed position in which it is able to support a portable device.
