Infrastructure for mobile devices and electronic loose equipment

A new infrastructure for mobile devices and electronic loose equipment, preferably an aircraft infrastructure, is designed to be deployed for both new production aircraft and the after-market installed base for all parts of the aircraft that have human interaction, such as the galley, cockpit or cabin. The architecture is designed around two main objectives: creating stylized and functional products with flexibility in design and providing reliability and maintainability for operators while integrating power and charging mediums to those devices. This architecture is composed of several elements that as a whole complete our new architecture for mobile devices and electronic loose equipment design.

Deployable portable electronic device holder for aircraft seat

A portable electronic device holder, separate from an aircraft tray table, has a spring biased lower retention portion with lower retention plates for securing a lower edge of a portable electronic device. The lower retention plate acts in concert with either one or more ridges molded into or affixed to a recess in a seat back panel, or with a spring biased, extendable upper retention portion with an upper retention plate to hold the portable electronic device in place.

Tray Table Folding Mount

A tray table mount for use on an aircraft that incorporates a headrest attached to an upper support that is attached to an intermediate member. The intermediate member is attached to a lower planar member that is placed over an unfolded tray table. The headrest is covered by a head cushion that includes a nose relief aperture to receive the nose of the passenger with his forehead and face resting in the headrest. The upper support, the intermediate member, and lower planar member are designed to be easily assembled or disassembled and stored in a compact configuration. In one embodiment, the upper support and intermediate member are pivotally connected and the intermediate member is pivotally connected to the lower planar support. Formed on the lower end of the lower section is an edge engaging slot that captures either the front or rear edges of tray table. Also mounted on the frame is a ledge configured to hold a viewing device.

Seat system with mounting option

Described are headrests with a structural support surface and a torque hinge. The torque hinge includes a rotatable portion, a ball joint, and a plate assembly. The ball joint has a ball portion connected to a shaft. The ball portion is positioned within the rotatable portion, and the plate assembly is fitted over the shaft. The shaft is coupled to the structural support surface, and the plate assembly limits a rotational arc of the rotatable portion relative to the shaft.

AIRCRAFT PERSONAL CONTENT SYSTEM

Systems and methods for connecting a personal entertainment device (PED) using the legacy technology provided in an aircraft, truck, or other vehicle. The system includes a digital content player that transmits audio and video signals in a first format, a video converter that converts the signals to a second format different from the first format, and a PED holder to which the PED is attached and secured. In addition, the PED holder includes one or more points of adjustment that enable a user to rotate and change the viewing angle for a PED attached to the PED holder. The PED holder may optionally include one or more electrical ports that enable the user to charge multiple devices at the same time. In addition, the electrical ports may be connected in a hub configuration that enables the devices connected to the multiple ports to communicate with one another.

METHODS, SYSTEMS, AND DEVICES FOR A SEAT FOR A VEHICLE

A seat having a frame and a chair component coupled with the frame. The chair component includes a front side and a rear side such that the front side has a bucket-shaped portion configured to seat a passenger and the rear side is a seatback portion that is rear-facing. The seatback portion further includes a retaining clip configured to receive an electronic device and a lipped surface configured to retain a hanging personal belonging.

SEAT PROVIDED WITH A SYSTEM FOR LOCKING THE TRAY TABLE IN THE EVENT OF AN IMPACT

The invention relates mainly to a seat comprising a backrest carrying on a rear face side a tray table that can be moved between a deployed position and a stowed position, said tray table comprising a latch that can be moved between an unlocked position and a locked position, characterized in that said tray table further comprises a locking system configured to hold the tray table in a stowed position following the deformation of said seat during an impact.

HEIGHT ADJUSTABLE TRAY TABLE
20200140091 · 2020-05-07 ·

A tray table assembly and aircraft passenger seat arrangement including the same, the tray table assembly including a rail, along which a carriage slides, disposed within an alcove, from which a tray table can be deployed via a link connecting the tray table to the carriage. The link provides both the connection between the tray table and carriage for positioning the tray table horizontally along the rail and the pivotable connections between the tray table, link, and carriage for adjusting the tray table vertically, perpendicular to the rail path. Thus, the tray table assembly may be hidden in the alcove in a stowed position, partially deployed with the tray table vertically offset from the carriage, fully deployed with the tray table outside of the alcove, and any position in between.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING QUICK RELEASE OF VIDEO MONITORS FROM AN ASSEMBLY

A quick release assembly for use in mounting a display system to a fixture. The system includes an attachment assembly on a back side of the display system that receives pins from a mounting bracket into openings of lock modules that include a latch that holds at least one pin in place. The latch is held in the lock position by spring bias. An actuator wire made of a shape memory alloy contracts when an electrical current is applied. The contraction of the wire overcomes the spring bias to move the latch from the lock position to an unlocked position to allow the display system to be removed from the pin.
