AUTOMATIC PERSPECTIVE CORRECTION FOR IN-FLIGHT ENTERTAINMENT (IFE) MONITORS
Disclosed embodiments are directed at devices, methods, and systems for fixing distortions of content displayed on in-flight entertainment (IFE) monitors in a commercial passenger vehicle. An IFE monitor can receive angular measurement data from one or more gyroscope sensors to determine a differential angle of tilt of the IFE monitor. In response to determining that the differential angle of tilt is non-zero, the IFE monitor can detect that content displayed on the IFE monitor is subject to distortion. The IFE monitor can automatically apply a perspective correction to the content displayed on the IFE monitor for fixing the perceived distortion.
SEAT SYSTEM WITH STOWABLE TRAY
A seat system for a passenger aircraft. The seat system includes at least one passenger seat and a stowable tray installed onto or adjacent to the passenger seat. The stowable tray includes a tray plate adapted to support one or more items; a support arm attached to the tray plate adapted to move the tray plate between a stowable position and a presentation position; and a friction hinge attaching the tray plate to the support arm and adapted to adjust the tray plate between the presentation position and a tray position, wherein the tray plate is adapted to support a personal electronic device while in the presentation position and adapted to support one or more cocktail items while in the tray position. A second stowable tray may also be attached to the passenger seat.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING A WAKE-UP USER INTERFACE FOR A NIGHT MODE ON TRANSPORTATION VEHICLES
Methods and systems are provided for a transportation vehicle. One method includes enabling by a processor, a night mode for a seat device of an in-flight entertainment system (IFE) on an aircraft based on a night mode trigger; displaying by the processor, during the night mode, a wake-up user interface on the seat device for a passenger, when a seat device monitor backlight has turned on after the backlight was turned off, or a seat device backlight timer has triggered, where a brightness of the wake-up user interface is lower than a brightness of a default user interface of the seat device; and enabling by the processor a first set of functions of the seat device accessible from the wake-up user interface, the first set of functions being less than a second set of functions accessible from the default user-interface.
REMOTE NFC DEVICE WITH AIRCRAFT IN-FLIGHT ENTERTAINMENT (IFE) SEATBACK
Disclosed embodiments are directed at devices, methods, and systems for association of reader devices to IFE monitors in a commercial passenger vehicle. An example method includes determining at a client computing system included in an IFE monitor that at least one reader device is remotely located from the client computing system; using a wired Ethernet connection to a server, the client computing system requesting the server to discover an electronic tag information; and upon the client computing system receiving the electronic tag information from the server over the wired Ethernet connection, the client computing system processing the electronic tag information, wherein another IFE monitor supplies electrical power to the at least one reader device, wherein the client computing system is unaware of a physical location of the at least one reader device, and wherein the server is included in the another IFE monitor.
ARRANGEMENT OF INDIVIDUAL SEATS FOR PASSENGERS OF AN AEROPLANE EQUIPPED WITH SCREEN SUPPORTS FORMING A SEPARATING WALL
The present invention basically relates to an arrangement of individual seats intended to be installed in an aeroplane cabin comprising at least one module of two seats disposed opposite one another, said module having a longitudinal elongation direction, characterized in that said arrangement further comprises: a console disposed between the two seats of the module; a screen connected to each seat, each screen being mounted on a screen support; the screen supports being movable between a stowed position and a deployed operating position, in which the screen supports are positioned substantially edge-to-edge and form a partition wall between the two seats located opposite one another.
Airliner passenger suite seating arrangements with shared aisle suite access
A four-suite unit positionable in an aircraft cabin to one side of a longitudinal aisle and including first and second suites positioned longitudinally-aligned and facing each other, a shared passageway positioned between foot ends of the first and second suites, third and fourth suites positioned longitudinally-aligned and to one side of the respective first and second suites, a first passageway positioned between a portion of the first suite and a portion of the third suite for accessing the third suite from the shared passageway, and a second passageway positioned between a portion of the second suite and a portion of the fourth suite for accessing the fourth suite from the shared passageway.
Stowable computer workstation
A stowable computer workstation (SCW) for a workplace within a vehicle is described, where the workplace has an inner sidewall of the vehicle. The SCW may include a video display mount assembly and a deployment support attached to the video display mount assembly. The deployment support is configured to deploy and stow the video display mount assembly against the inner sidewall and the deployment support is secured to the inner sidewall.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING PASSENGER INTERFACES
A system for providing a passenger interface for a passenger in a seat including at least one sensor adapted to generate a signal representative of the position, the configuration, and/or the direction of movement of hand of the passenger; a controller, and a projector for projecting a passenger interface, placement of which is determined based at least on the signal. A method includes receiving a first signal indicative of a position and/or an arm of the passenger; projecting, by a projector, a passenger interface onto a predetermined surface, the passenger interface location on the predetermined surface being based on the first signal, receiving a second signal indicative of the position, configuration, and/or direction of movement of the passenger's hand of with respect to the passenger interface; and adjusting at least one of a passenger controllable feature, and projection of at least one media display by a second projector.
Integrated Aircraft Galley and Appliance Operating System
A system for communicating between passenger seats and an aircraft galley. The system may include a control unit including a display area for interfacing with a crew member. The system may include a plurality of devices, each positioned at a respective passenger seat. The control unit may be adapted to display on the display area data related to a particular order, including a location of an associated passenger seat. The control unit may be further adapted to transmit to a particular device associated with the order notifications concerning a status of the particular order.
