Slave bluetooth device switching between active bluetooth connections with different master bluetooth devices

A slave Bluetooth device establishes first and second connections with first and second master Bluetooth devices, respectively, that each operate in a master mode. The slave Bluetooth device operates in a slave mode when communicating through any of the first and second connections. The slave Bluetooth device communicates connection parameter update request packets containing timeout values to the first and second master Bluetooth devices. The slave Bluetooth device alternates during non-overlapping time slots between at least: 1) monitoring the first connection for traffic transmitted by the first master Bluetooth device while not monitoring the second connection; and 2) monitoring the second connection for traffic transmitted by the second master Bluetooth device while not monitoring the first connection; and controls a rate at which the alternating is performed based on the first timeout value and the second timeout value.

Described is a stowable display apparatus (200) suitable for stowing a display, such as an in-flight entertainment monitor, in a storage module (110) located above a spreader or a seat bottom of a passenger seat (102). The stowable display apparatus can include an arm (228, 236) pivotally coupled to a mounting plate (222) at a pivot point (250) that is located above the spreader or seat bottom and proximate the forward end of the seat (102), thus enabling a display bracket of the arm to pivot upwards and out of an armrest assembly before rotating into a deployed position. The display arm (228, 236) can provide an easy, safe, and low-cost mechanism for stowing and deploying a display. The thin profile of the display arm allows a storage module (110) two inches wide or less to stow both a display and a table surface, each independently deployable and stowable irrespective of the other's position.

Monitor stowage device

A monitor stowage device for stowing a monitor into a stowage component, the monitor capable of being opened and closed. The monitor stowage device comprises a motor and an opening-closing mechanism. The motor supplies drive force to the opening-closing mechanism to open and close the monitor. The drive force from the motor is transmitted to the opening-closing mechanism, and the opening-closing mechanism changes the state of the monitor from a closed state to an open state, the closed state in which the monitor is stowed in a stowage space of the stowage component such that the long-side direction of the monitor is aligned with a direction substantially perpendicular to the width direction of the stowage section, and the open state being a state in which the monitor is deployed in such a manner that the long-side direction of the monitor is aligned with the lateral direction.
