Systems and Methods For Display Stowage Detection
Systems, apparatus, and methods are described herein for display stowage detection. A display device having a display screen can be disposed within a housing, such as an armrest of a vehicle. The housing can have one or more objects disposed within an interior of the housing such that the one or more objects interact with the display screen of the display device when the display device is being inserted into and/or removed from the housing. The specific interaction of the one or more objects with the display screen as the display device is being inserted into the housing causes the display device to automatically power off the display screen.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE
An electronic device includes a first housing; a second housing including a fitting portion, and an elastic body. The first housing includes at least one fitted portion configured to be fitted to the fitting portion by being slid along a first direction, and a first housing side peripheral edge portion provided on a peripheral edge of the first housing, and the elastic body is positioned between the fitted portion and the first housing side peripheral edge portion during the fitting.
IN-FLIGHT ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM CONTROLLING BACKLIGHTING WHILE ERASING RETAINED IMAGES ON LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAYS
An LCD display unit of an aircraft inflight entertainment system includes a backlight driver driving light sources of a backlight panel to emit light through a polarizer layer and transistor array layer toward a liquid crystal layer. An LCD controller operates, during an image display mode, to receive data defining an image, and control transistors of the transistor array layer to directionally orient liquid crystals of corresponding pixels of the liquid crystal layer relative to a polarization direction of the polarization layer to define the image. The LCD controller further operates, during a retained pattern erase mode, to control the backlight driver to turn off or dim below a threshold level the backlight panel and to selectively control transistors of the transistor array layer to repetitively cycle orientations of liquid crystals between at least two offset directions to at least partially erase a retained pattern bias among the pixels.
