LIGHTED CUP HOLDER FOR SEATING ARRANGEMENTS
A method and apparatus include attaching a lighted cup holder to a seating arrangement. The lighted cup holder includes a cup holder body and a light-producing light source, with the cup holder body being attached to the seating arrangement and having a cup receptacle therein, the light-producing source being disposed within the cup receptacle for illuminating the receptacle. A light-sensitive element operatively connected to the light source selectively controls production of light by the light source in such a manner that illumination of the cup holder is provided only under conditions where visibility is reduced to the point that it becomes difficult to locate the cup holder. The light-sensitive element is mounted on a master lighted cup holder and controls illumination of the master lighted cup holder and one or more slave lighted cup holders operatively connected to the master lighted cup holder.
VEHICLE SEAT HEADREST EQUIPPED WITH AUDIO SPEAKER UNITS
A headrest for a vehicle seat, comprising a support configured to receive and support the head of a seat occupant, and, connected to said support, at least one speaker system comprising: a speaker unit comprising a loudspeaker received in an airtight housing, a guide system for guiding the speaker unit relative to the support of the headrest, said guide system being configured so that the speaker unit can transition from a first usage position to a second usage position, and vice versa, the transition from the first usage position to the second usage position, and vice versa, corresponding to a movement combining a translation of the speaker unit and a rotation of the speaker unit.
Noise reduction device and noise reduction system
With the noise reduction device (300), in identifying an acoustic transfer function that includes a path from the control speaker (340) to the error microphone (350) or the noise microphone (320) by outputting an identification sound from the control speaker (340) and detecting the identification sound with the error microphone (350) or the noise microphone (320), the identification controller (338) is configured to identify the acoustic transfer function by generating the identification sound from the white noise generator (337) when the seat detector (582) has detected that the seat is in the actual usage state for noise reduction.
AIRCRAFT SEAT ASSEMBLY INCLUDING A VIBRATION PRODUCING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR FABRICATING THE SAME
An aircraft seat assembly for supporting a seat occupant, and a method for fabricating an aircraft seat assembly for supporting a seat occupant are provided. In one non-limiting example, the aircraft seat assembly includes a seat cushion supported by the seat structure. A vibration producing apparatus configured to produce vibrations conducive for inducing drowsiness. The vibration producing apparatus is disposed adjacent to or within the seat structure for transferring the vibrations to the seat occupant.
NOISE REDUCTION DEVICE, NOISE REDUCTION SYSTEM, AND SOUND FIELD CONTROLLING METHOD
In the noise reduction device, the sound receiver receives a noise signal acquired from the microphone. The sound source input unit receives an input of a sound source signal from a sound source. The sound adjuster changes the intensity of the sound source signal relative to the intensity of the noise signal. The control sound generator generates a control sound signal that reduces the noise signal. The control unit controls the change of the intensity of the sound source signal and the generation of the control sound signal. The sound output outputs the control sound signal to the speaker. The sound output outputs to the speaker the sound source signal at the intensity changed by the sound adjuster.
System and method for providing an integrated user interface system at a seat
A light-weight and low-power integrated system module suitable for installation at a passenger seat disposed aboard a passenger vehicle and methods for manufacturing and using same. By integrating selected interface system components with the associated interconnections, the integrated system module provides an intuitive user interface system for interacting with a passenger entertainment system. The integrated system module can be installed within a seatback of the passenger seat that compliments the look and feel of the user interface system, creating an immersive entertainment experience during travel.
Loudspeaker system
A seat integrating a loudspeaker system includes a seat having a seat body with a horizontally oriented seat bottom and a seat back secured thereto. The seat back includes an upper end and a lower end, wherein the lower end is positioned adjacent the seat bottom. The loudspeaker system includes a sound assembly mounted within the seat for selective movement between a storage orientation in which the sound assembly is housed and hidden within a support housing mounted along the seat and a use orientation extending from the support housing in which the sound assembly is positioned for use.
Headrest equipped with loudspeakers, and associated seat
The invention relates to a sound-equipped headrest comprising at least one woofer associated with an open rear part, comprising a rear grid and/or open cell or semi-open cell foam with a density of between 8 and 60 kg/m.sup.3, so that said at least one woofer is two-directional; and at least one mid-range/tweeter, associated with a closed rear part comprising a solid wall and/or a closed cell foam so that at least one mid-range/tweeter is mono-directional.
