Business class travel suite arrangements for narrow body and wide body aircraft
A travel suite arrangement for an aircraft cabin, such as a business class cabin, including at least one longitudinal aisle dividing sections, with each section including at least one four-suite unit. Each four-suite unit generally includes an angled first seat positioned directly adjacent the longitudinal aisle forward-facing, a second angled seat positioned directly adjacent the longitudinal aisle rearward-facing, a third angled seat positioned apart from the longitudinal aisle, to one side of the first seat and rearward-facing, and a fourth angled seat positioned apart from the longitudinal aisle, to one side of the second seat and forward-facing. Aisle seats are accessed directly from the aisle while outboard seats share access passageways.
Space-efficient flat-bed seating arrangement
A variety of seats and seating arrangements are disclosed for use in transport vehicles such as airliners. The seats can have specific features and/or be arranged at specific angles adjacent to each other to combine high capacity with passenger comfort and safety.
PASSENGER SEATING
A seating arrangement for a passenger-carrying vehicle including a first seat and a third seat arranged in a first row and facing in a forward direction, and a second seat located rearwardly of the first and third seats. The third seat is offset forwardly with respect to the first seat, the second seat is offset with respect to each of the first and third seats in a transverse direction that is perpendicular to the forward direction such that it is located between the first and third seats in the transverse direction. The combined effect of the transverse offset of the seats in adjacent rows, together with the forward offset of the seats in any given row provides seated passengers with a larger passenger accommodation region than is provided by conventional seating arrangements.
Modular Multiple-Egress Doors for Dual Occupancy Aircraft Passenger Suites
A dual-occupancy aircraft minisuite incorporating a modular multiple-egress door assembly is disclosed. In embodiments, the dual-occupancy minisuite can accommodate two passengers in enhanced privacy. Access to (and egress from) the minisuite is through the modular multiple-egress door assembly, which provides forward and rear (relative to the egress gap between) sets of outer, intermediate, and inner doors. The outer doors translate laterally along rails in the intermediate doors, and the intermediate doors likewise translate laterally along rails in the inner doors, to open the minisuite for passenger access or direct view (or to close the minisuite for enhanced privacy). The forward and rear sets of doors are proportioned such that when any forward or rear translating door is jammed in a closed position, the remaining egress gap is of sufficient width to provide a distinct and independent emergency egress path for each occupying passenger of at least minimum required width.
Outboard facing herringbone seating arrangement
A passenger seating arrangement in an aircraft cabin including a column of seat units located adjacent an aisle. A seat unit, or a neighboring seat unit, of the column is configurable into a PRM-access configuration in which the seat module is moved to temporarily widen an access opening from a first width to a second width, greater than the first width, for enabling a disabled passenger to access the seat unit.
AIRCRAFT CABIN
An aircraft cabin is provided. The aircraft cabin comprises a first row of seat units extending across the cabin between a first outboard sidewall of the cabin and a second opposite outboard sidewall of the cabin, a first aisle extending along the cabin, and a second aisle extending along the cabin. The first row of seats units comprises a first seat unit, a second seat unit, a third seat unit and no further seat units. The first aisle is positioned adjacent the first outboard sidewall and separates the first outboard sidewall and the first seat unit, the second seat unit is positioned adjacent the first seat unit, and the third seat unit is spaced apart from the second seat unit by the second aisle, the third seat unit being positioned adjacent the second outboard sidewall. The first row of seat units further comprises a privacy screen movable between a stowed position and a deployed position in which the privacy screen provides a barrier at least partially partitioning the first seat unit and second seat unit.
AIRCRAFT SEAT AND CABIN ARRANGEMENT
An aircraft passenger seat comprising a seat pan, a back rest, and a leg rest is provided. The back rest is moveable between an upright position and a reclined position in which the back rest is substantially parallel with a deployed position of the seat pan. The back rest can also be fixed in at least one intermediate position between the upright position and the reclined position. The leg rest is moveable between a retracted position in which the leg rest is substantially perpendicular to the deployed position of the seat pan and an extended position in which it is positioned to support the legs of a passenger. The seat pan is moveable between a deployed position in which the seat pan occupies a first space and wherein a passenger can sit on the seat pan, and a stowed position in which the seat pan is moved out of the first space such that a passenger can stand in the first space.
AIRCRAFT BENCH SEAT ASSEMBLY
A bench seat assembly that includes a first seat that includes a seat portion and a back, a second seat that includes a seat portion and a back, and a center portion positioned between the first and second seats. The first seat is bifurcated by a first vertical plane, the second seat is bifurcated by a second vertical plane, and the center portion is bifurcated by a center vertical plane. The first seat is angled outwardly such that the first plane defines a first acute angle with the center plane and the second seat is angled outwardly such that the second plane defines a second acute angle with the center plane. The first acute angle and the second acute angle are approximately the same.
AIRPLANE SEATS IN THE WAKE OF COVID-19
One embodiment of a seating arrangement of a transportation vehicle includes at least two rows of upper-level seats in a first zone extending a longitudinal direction, a left row of lower-level seats in a second zone on the left of the upper-level seats, and a right row of lower-level seats in a third zone on the right side of the upper-level seats, with the seats arranged either in an acute or an obtuse angle relative to the longitudinal direction, and with the upper-level seats and the lower-level seats being staggered. In the embodiment, the three zones are substantially isolated from one another. For example, going from one zone to the next, a person can go through a door, and each zone can have its substantially separate air ventilation system. In another embodiment, each of the second and the third zones includes single-level seats, with at least an aisle between the single-level seats and the corresponding lower-level seats. The transportation vehicle can be a plane.
Passenger seat arrangement
The present invention relates to an aircraft cabin having a longitudinal axis and comprising at least one aisle and an arrangement of seat units, a seat unit comprising, in particular, a seat provided with a base and a backrest as well as a foot area, the seat being movable between a sitting position and a lying position, the arrangement of seat units comprising: at least one rear group of two seat units, at least one front group of two seat units, each group of two seat units comprising a seat unit arranged on the side of the aisle and referred to as the “aisle-side seat unit” and a seat unit arranged on the side of a window and referred to as the “window-side seat unit”, each seat of a group of seat units having an axis forming a non-zero angle relative to the longitudinal axis of the aircraft cabin, such that the seats of each group are facing the aisle, a first passage for accessing the aisle associated with the window-side seat unit of the rear group extending between the foot area and the seat of the aisle-side seat unit of the rear group, and a second passage for accessing the aisle associated with the window-side seat unit of the rear group extending between the aisle-side seat unit of the front group and the foot area of the aisle-side seat unit of the rear group.
