VTOL aircraft for network system

A vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) aircraft provides transportation to users of a network system. The network system may include multiple aircraft or other types of vehicles to provide multi-model transportation. An aircraft may include a fuselage, a truss coupled to the fuselage, and multiple distributed electric propellers coupled to the truss. The distributed electric propellers may be positioned on at least two different planes. The fuselage may include a cabin having one or more seats for the passengers arranged in a configuration that has a compact footprint, provides legroom, provides visibility to surroundings of the aircraft, or facilitates convenient ingress or egress of passengers. The aircraft may open a port cabin door and starboard cabin door for simultaneous ingress or egress of passengers.

Automated vehicle seats

Systems, methods, tangible non-transitory computer-readable media, and devices associated with the operation of a vehicle are provided. For example a vehicle computing system can receive occupancy data that includes information associated with occupancy of a vehicle that includes seats. One or more states of the vehicle can be determined. The states of the vehicle can include a disposition of any object that is within the vehicle. Further, a configuration of the seats in the vehicle can be determined based on the occupancy data and the states of the vehicle. The configuration can include a disposition of the seats inside the vehicle. Furthermore, at least one of the seats can be adjusted based on the configuration that was determined.

Improved seating arrangements for a vehicle cabin of a passenger transport system, in particular of an aircraft are disclosed. Examples herein provide improved seating arrangements providing a high density of seats and increased PAX numbers while ensuring privacy, comfort and a direct aisle access to each passenger. For example, the seating arrangements provided herein are applicable to narrow body aircrafts and wide body aircrafts, in particular in view of business class solutions.

LATERAL SLEEP SYSTEMS FOR AIRCRAFT

Lateral sleep systems for aircraft are disclosed. A divider is located between a first seat and a second seat of the aircraft. The divider includes a first panel oriented toward the first seat and a second panel oriented toward the second seat. The first panel defines a first support ledge. The second panel defines a second support ledge. A first lateral sleep apparatus positioned on a first side of the divider adjacent the first seat includes a first headrest and a first cradle. The first cradle supports the first headrest and includes a first panel mounting interface coupling the first headrest to the first support ledge. A second lateral sleep apparatus positioned on a second side of the divider adjacent the second seat includes a second headrest and a second cradle. The second cradle supports the second headrest and includes a second panel mounting interface coupling the second headrest to the second support ledge.

Arrangement of individual seats for passengers of an aeroplane
