PASSENGER SEATING ARRANGEMENT
A passenger furniture device for a passenger seat provided within a vehicle cabin, in particular an aircraft cabin, comprising at least a base element comprising at least an upper utility surface for a passenger, a removable section element which is mounted to one side of the base element, and a simple latch mechanism. In particular, the latch mechanism may be a simple plug-in and clip device. The latch mechanism is an easy-to-handle releasable attachment and fixation device to release the removable section from the base element, particularly only by crew and service members of the aircraft. The latch mechanism is provided on the base element and the section element such that the section element is detachably mounted to the base element via the latch mechanism.
Stowage Mechanisms for Display Devices of Aircraft Passenger Compartment Suites
An aircraft passenger compartment suite may include a first side with a first display device, a second side with a second display device, and a privacy divider separating the first side and the second side. The first display device may be configured to actuate between a first deployed position and a first stowed position via a first stowage mechanism. The second display device may be configured to actuate between a second deployed position and a second stowed position via a second stowage mechanism. The privacy divider may include one or more panels configured to actuate between a panel deployed position and a panel stowed position. The privacy divider may be open when at least one of the first display device is in the first stowed position, the second display device is in the second stowed position, or the one or more panels are in the panel stowed position.
Space saving seating system
In an example, a seating system includes a seat comprising a chamber, a wall structure adjacent to the seat and defining a compartment, a door insert configured to move within the compartment between a starting position and a retracted position, wherein in the starting position, the door is adjacent to the seat and blocks access to the compartment, and in the retracted position, the door is retracted into the wall structure and provides access to the compartment, a closed channel extending from the chamber and operably connected to the door, and a piston operably coupled to the seat and positioned within the chamber, wherein when a load is applied to the seat, the piston is compressed, moving the door from the starting position to the retracted position, and when the load is removed, the piston is decompressed, causing the door to move from the retracted position to the starting position.
Critical Seat Selection and Validation
A method of assessing performance of a seat is provided. The method comprises identifying a number of critical seats for testing from a layout of passenger accommodation and building a computer simulation model, following a building block approach, for each identified critical seat. A number of loads are tested on each simulation model. Critical seats are selected for physical testing from simulation model test results according to a specified criteria assessment matrix.
DOUBLE-DOOR MODULE FOR AIRCRAFT SEATS
The present invention relates essentially to a double-door module for aircraft seats, characterized in that it comprises: a first door that is mobile in translation between a stowed position and a deployed position, a second door that is mobile in translation between a stowed position and a deployed position, the first door and the second door overlapping completely when the first door and the second door are simultaneously in the stowed position, and a control system comprising a device for locking and unlocking the first door and/or the second door.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITION SENSING SYSTEM
Fibre optics for distributed environmental condition and/or air quality sensing such as, but not limited to, sensing air quality in enclosed areas of an aircraft such as the passenger cabin. Fibre optics can be used for sensing and for communication and are therefore well suited to the distributed sensing of environmental conditions such as temperature, relative humidity, gas and particulate composition within spaces of the aircraft e.g. the cabin, cargo space, cockpit, electronics bay etc. and in related systems such as the environmental control system (ECS), the cabin recirculation system, bleed air system etc.
CABIN MODULE
A cabin module deployable inside a vehicle so as to form at least a portion of an interior of the vehicle. The cabin module comprises a main body and a plurality of external walls. One or more of the plurality of external walls are moveable with respect to the main body. The module has a closed configuration for storage outside the vehicle, in which the plurality of external walls define at least a part of a first form factor of the module. The module has an open configuration for operational deployment in the vehicle, in which the plurality of external walls define at least a part of a second form factor of the module. The cabin module is reversibly changeable between the closed configuration and the open configuration by movement of the one or more external walls. The first form factor is different from the second form factor.
Passenger seat arrangement, passenger seat system and method for installing a passenger seat system
A passenger seat arrangement for installation in an aircraft comprises a seat unit with a backrest element and a seat element. The seat arrangement also comprises a supporting frame carrying the seat unit and comprising at least one seat mounting, which has a first backrest holder, to which the backrest element can be releasably fixed in a load-transferring manner in a first position on the seat mounting, and a second backrest holder, to which the backrest element can be releasably fixed in a load-transferring manner in a second position on the seat mounting. When the passenger seat arrangement is installed in the aircraft, the backrest element is pivoted in relation to a longitudinal axis of the aircraft in a state in which it is fixed to the first backrest holder relative to a state in which it is fixed to the second backrest holder.
AIRCRAFT INTERIOR WITH REMOVABLE PANELS
An aircraft that includes a body that defines a cabin interior and includes an exterior surface and an interior surface, and at least a first panel member having a front and a back. The back includes a set of panel mounting components thereon. The interior surface of the body includes a set of body mounting components thereon. The set of panel mounting components are removably mounted to the set of body mounting components.
Deployable infill assembly and passenger seat construction
A deployable infill assembly and passenger seat construction. The infill assembly includes a cushion element deployable laterally along a low trajectory from a stowed position to a deployed position. The cushion assembly is coupled to a frame carrying guide tracks for guiding movement of the cushion assembly between the stowed and deployed positions. The cushion assembly is selectively deployable for use as a leg support, table or to complete a continuous bed. The infill assembly is packaged in a compact footprint well-suited for aircraft applications.
