SEAT USAGE PREVENTION DEVICE
A seat usage prevention device is disclosed. The seat usage prevention deice includes at least one device component being configured to interact with one or more seat components of a first seat. The device component is configured to prevent usage of at least one of a seat pan or seatback of the first seat. The device component further separates a second seat from at least a third seat, wherein the third seat is proximate to at least one of the first seat or the second seat. The seat usage prevention device may include a device component that further includes a cushion, a base, an amenity console, or a vertical separator, or combination thereof.
EXTENDED DISPLAY INTEGRATION FOR PASSENGER SEATS
Described are extended display devices for a passenger compartment including a first display device and a second display device, the first display device positioned in an outer frame to face a passenger seat and the a second display connected with and positioned laterally relative to the first display, wherein the first and second displays are configured to simultaneously display information from two different sources. One or both display devices can be attached modularly within a void through the outer frame and within an insert that matches the inner boundary of the outer frame and matches the exterior boundary of the display device.
TRAVEL PRIVACY & PROTECTIVE CURTAIN
A personal privacy and protective curtain is disclosed, comprising a portable curtain having a material to at least partially cover an opening provided in a vehicle's cabin. The personal privacy and protective curtain to at least partially block a passenger from view and provide a protective sanitary barrier during travel. At least one attachment mechanism releasably engages with a surface of at least one fixture within the vehicle cabin to interface with a corresponding attachment mechanism provided on the portable curtain.
ACTUATION SYSTEM
An actuation system for passenger seating has first actuating means for actuating a door from an open state to a closed state, and second actuating means for actuating the door from the closed state to the open state. The first actuating means may comprise a spring and allows movement of the door from the closed state to the open state. The second actuating is power-operated. The door can be opened and closed automatically by the user while still being operable manually, e.g. in the event of an emergency. This provides a premium feel without giving rise to safety concerns.
Modular Multiple-Egress Doors for Dual Occupancy Aircraft Passenger Suites
A dual-occupancy aircraft minisuite incorporating a modular multiple-egress door assembly is disclosed. In embodiments, the dual-occupancy minisuite can accommodate two passengers in enhanced privacy. Access to (and egress from) the minisuite is through the modular multiple-egress door assembly, which provides forward and rear (relative to the egress gap between) sets of outer, intermediate, and inner doors. The outer doors translate laterally along rails in the intermediate doors, and the intermediate doors likewise translate laterally along rails in the inner doors, to open the minisuite for passenger access or direct view (or to close the minisuite for enhanced privacy). The forward and rear sets of doors are proportioned such that when any forward or rear translating door is jammed in a closed position, the remaining egress gap is of sufficient width to provide a distinct and independent emergency egress path for each occupying passenger of at least minimum required width.
Outboard facing herringbone seating arrangement
A passenger seating arrangement in an aircraft cabin including a column of seat units located adjacent an aisle. A seat unit, or a neighboring seat unit, of the column is configurable into a PRM-access configuration in which the seat module is moved to temporarily widen an access opening from a first width to a second width, greater than the first width, for enabling a disabled passenger to access the seat unit.
CONTOUR CLASS DIVIDER
An implementation of a contoured class divider for dividing an aircraft cabin includes a panel positioned between an aft seat and a forward seat, the panel having an aft-facing convex contour closely matching an aft-facing contour of a seatback of the forward seat and configured to enhance space utilization. The contoured class divider may include an articulation system to articulate at least a portion of the panel from a first position (normal operation) to a second position (emergency landing). The contoured class divider may provide up to an additional 12 inches of space which can be used to reduce seat pitch (and thereby enhance passenger comfort) or increase the number of rows of seats on a given aircraft.
AIRCRAFT CABIN
An aircraft cabin is provided. The aircraft cabin comprises a first row of seat units extending across the cabin between a first outboard sidewall of the cabin and a second opposite outboard sidewall of the cabin, a first aisle extending along the cabin, and a second aisle extending along the cabin. The first row of seats units comprises a first seat unit, a second seat unit, a third seat unit and no further seat units. The first aisle is positioned adjacent the first outboard sidewall and separates the first outboard sidewall and the first seat unit, the second seat unit is positioned adjacent the first seat unit, and the third seat unit is spaced apart from the second seat unit by the second aisle, the third seat unit being positioned adjacent the second outboard sidewall. The first row of seat units further comprises a privacy screen movable between a stowed position and a deployed position in which the privacy screen provides a barrier at least partially partitioning the first seat unit and second seat unit.
AIRCRAFT PASSENGER SEAT UNIT
The present invention provides an aircraft passenger seat unit comprising a seat, a privacy shell having a primary opening to allow entry to and exit from the seat unit, a storage unit comprising one or more holders for supporting clothes and a door movable between a first position in which the door at least partially blocks off the primary opening, and a second position in which the door at least partially closes access to holders of the storage unit. The invention also provides an aircraft passenger seat unit in which the door fully blocks off the primary opening, so that passenger entry and exit is prevented, in the first position. The invention also provides an aircraft passenger seat unit in which the door is arranged to move in a direction offset from an angle of the privacy shell adjacent the opening.
Privacy/Protective Headrest Assembly
A fully adjustable privacy/protective headrest with foldable protective wings for use in connection with furniture and with passenger vehicles such as aircraft, trains, and buses.
