An aircraft passenger seat including decoupled seat back and seat bottom elements configured to be selectively positioned with respect to spaced seat elements to allow the seat to be used for seating or storage as desired. The passenger seat is convertible by repositioning the seat back and seat bottom elements to provide conventional forward-facing seating, face-to-face seating with a longitudinally aligned and adjacent seat, or seat storage as desired. The seat back and seat bottom elements track along a track assembly affixed along facing inboard sides of fixed seat elements such as arm rest assemblies.

The first front seat is angled outwardly such that it forms a first acute angle with the longitudinal axis and the second front seat is angled outwardly such that it forms a second acute angle with the longitudinal axis. The first and second acute angles are approximately the same.

A first fastener of the entertainment device is configured to interact with a second fastener on the seat to define a fastening system for detachably fastening the cover to the seat backrest when the cover is arranged in its second position and inserted into the seat pocket, while the base is arranged outside of the pocket with the display facing away from the seat backrest.

The at least one cantilever is adjacently connected to the mattress pad and laterally extends from the mattress pad in order to engage with the airline seats. The mattress pad includes a padded layer and a plurality of bottom supports, wherein the padded layer cushions the user and the plurality of bottom supports maintain the padded layer in a flat position across the airline seats. The padded layer has a first section that is hinged to a second section, allowing the first section to be lifted and thus enabling the user to take a seated position during takeoff and landing. A seatback cover and privacy curtain may also be included to provide additional privacy, storage, lighting, etc.

The seat base in the deployed position and the lower back support in the deployed position together define a foot cavity configured to receive a foot of a passenger.
