An aircraft passenger seat including decoupled seat back and seat bottom elements configured to be selectively positioned with respect to spaced seat elements to allow the seat to be used for seating or storage as desired. The passenger seat is convertible by repositioning the seat back and seat bottom elements to provide conventional forward-facing seating, face-to-face seating with a longitudinally aligned and adjacent seat, or seat storage as desired. The seat back and seat bottom elements track along a track assembly affixed along facing inboard sides of fixed seat elements such as arm rest assemblies.

A variety of seats and seating arrangements are disclosed for use in transport vehicles such as airliners. The seats can have specific features and/or be arranged at specific angles adjacent to each other to combine high capacity with passenger comfort and safety.

An aircraft that includes a body that defines a cabin interior and a longitudinal axis, and a front row positioned in the cabin interior. The front row includes a first front seat and a second front seat. The first and second front seats are angled away from one another. The first front seat is angled outwardly such that it forms a first acute angle with the longitudinal axis and the second front seat is angled outwardly such that it forms a second acute angle with the longitudinal axis. The first and second acute angles are approximately the same.

A passenger entertainment device operated by a controller associated with a vehicle passenger seat. The passenger seat includes a seat, a backrest and a pocket in a back surface of the backrest facing away from the seat. The entertainment device includes a base, a display attached to a base front surface and a cover pivotably attached to the base pivotable between a first position, in which the cover covers the display, and a second position, in which the cover exposes the display. A first fastener of the entertainment device is configured to interact with a second fastener on the seat to define a fastening system for detachably fastening the cover to the seat backrest when the cover is arranged in its second position and inserted into the seat pocket, while the base is arranged outside of the pocket with the display facing away from the seat backrest.

Described herein is a seat back for an aircraft seat, the seat back comprising a body, wherein the body comprises a support wall for supporting a passenger leaning against the seat back, a first side wall, a second side wall and a cross brace, wherein the cross brace connects the first side wall and the second side wall at a position between a lower end and an upper end of each of the side walls, and wherein the support wall, the first side wall, the second side wall and the cross brace are integrally formed. Also described is a seat comprising the seat back and a row of seats.

A legrest assembly is disclosed. The assembly may include a plurality of frame members. The assembly may include one or more closeout panels arranged proximate to an opening within a storage compartment and configured to at least partially form the opening within the storage compartment and at least partially enclose one or more gaps formed between sidewalls of the storage compartment, the plurality of frame members, and a divan seat frame. The assembly may include a plurality of panel doors configured to open or close, the plurality of panel doors including a plurality of integrated frame members configured to couple the plurality of doors to a frame member of the plurality of frame members. The assembly may include a panel door latch mechanism configured to open the plurality of panel doors, the panel door latch mechanism including a door handle and a door latch assembly.

The invention relates mainly to a seat module intended to be installed in an aircraft cabin comprising: a seat, a cushion positioned near the seat, and an armrest that can move between a lowered position, and a raised position, wherein the armrest comprises an upper wall and a lower wall, such that the upper wall extends in line with the cushion when the armrest is in the lowered position, and the lower wall extends in line with the cushion when the armrest is in the raised position.

A cantilevered mattress that can be positioned along a row of airline seats to provide a resting surface for a user includes a mattress pad and an at least one cantilever. The at least one cantilever is adjacently connected to the mattress pad and laterally extends from the mattress pad in order to engage with the airline seats. The mattress pad includes a padded layer and a plurality of bottom supports, wherein the padded layer cushions the user and the plurality of bottom supports maintain the padded layer in a flat position across the airline seats. The padded layer has a first section that is hinged to a second section, allowing the first section to be lifted and thus enabling the user to take a seated position during takeoff and landing. A seatback cover and privacy curtain may also be included to provide additional privacy, storage, lighting, etc.

Described are recliner sofa systems for a passenger seat. The passenger seat includes a seat back assembly and a seat base assembly. The seat back assembly includes an upper back support and a lower back support, and the lower back support is movable relative to the upper back support between a stowed position and a deployed position. The seat base assembly includes a support and a seat base, and the seat base is movable relative to the support between a stowed position and a deployed position. The seat base in the deployed position and the lower back support in the deployed position together define a foot cavity configured to receive a foot of a passenger.
