Tray Table Indicator

A tray table indicator includes a channel, a cover, and a magnetic ball. The channel has a first extension, a curve, and a second extension, and the cover encloses the channel. A magnetic ball is contained within the channel and is movable from the first extension around the curve to the second extension of the channel in response to rotation of the rotating tray table component by a minimum distance in a first direction. The curve of the channel is configured to prevent gravity from returning the magnetic ball to the first extension from the second extension in response to rotation of the rotating tray table component in a second direction after having rotated the minimum distance in the first direction.

An aircraft sanitization device is disclosed. The aircraft sanitization device includes a curved enclosure operatively coupled to a first surface of an enclosed area. At a first position the curved enclosure at least partially encloses a handle affixed to the first surface. A set of Ultraviolet (UV) Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) configured to sanitize the handle are affixed to an inner surface of the curved enclosure. At least one switch therein is activated in a closed state and deactivated in an open state of the enclosed area. At least one locking mechanism is configured to engage with the first surface in the closed state and disengage with the first surface in the open state. A controller is configured to activate the set of UV LEDs, when each of the at least one switch is activated and the locking mechanism engages the first surface in the closed state.

Cloth Tray Cover For Tray Tables Found On Airplanes, Trains Or Cars, Having Assorted Pockets Of Diverse Utility, Including A Clear Sleeve Pocket On The Surface Of The Tray, An Adjustable Viewing Pocket For Electronic Devices, And A Collapsible Drink Holder For Use When The Tray Table Is In The Locked Position
20170291710 · 2017-10-12 ·

This embodiment of a cloth tray cover and its accessories is used on tray tables found on airplanes or trains, and with tray tables in some cars. The tray cover provides travelers with a protective germ barrier, as well as a way to organize personal items while traveling. The clear sleeve on the tray surface transforms the tray into a changeable activity board or a moisture barrier for reading material when drinks are served. The pockets of the tray cover accommodate both small and large personal items that travelers want to have handy. The tray cover can be sized and altered to fit any type of tray table for travel. The foldable drink holder provides a place to put one's drink when the tray table is up. The detachable viewing pocket provides a place to view an electronic device and can be adjusted to a passenger's preferred viewing position. It is also the storage case for the tray cover, the electronic device and the drink holder.

Exit row table for an aircraft

A table (30) for an aircraft includes a table surface (56) deployable between a retracted position and a deployed position, an arm (50) having a first end and a second end, the arm (50) supporting the table (66) surface at the first end, a support connected to the arm (50) at the second end, the support connecting the arm to a structure interior to the aircraft, a sensor (136) within the aircraft to detect if a seat adjacent to the table surface is occupied, and a mechanism (120) for retracting the table surface to the retracted position if the sensor (136) detects at least one of that the seat is not occupied and that the aircraft flight mode meets predetermined criteria.

Display system for a vehicle entertainment system

A video display system for a passenger seat of a vehicle. The video display system is configured to be mounted to a seatback of each passenger seat or to other structure such that the system may be utilized by the passenger. The display system includes a video display assembly having a display housing configured to be mounted to structure in the vehicle. A video monitor is housed within the display housing. The video display assembly includes a depending tab portion disposed below the area of the video monitor. The depending tab portion includes a tab display capable of displaying a computer generated graphic and/or information. The display system may also have one or more indicator lights provided adjacent the external edge of the display housing.

Tray Table Deployable from Lower Seatback Area

In an illustrative embodiment, a tray table for mounting to a lower seatback region of an aircraft passenger seat includes a tray table support bracket stowable to a position approximately parallel with the lower seatback region, and pivotably deployable to provide access to a tray table slideably coupled to the support bracket and configured to provide a substantially horizontal work surface when in a deployed state. In the stowed position, the tray table may be substantially positioned below a tray table deployment height such that additional clearance is provided on the seatback above the tray table for one or more accessory items such as a larger monitor in portrait orientation.

Aircraft Passenger Activity Monitoring

In an illustrative embodiment, a crew information system is coupled to sensors in passenger seats, seatbelts, tray tables and overhead bins. If the vehicle seat sensor subsystem senses a passenger on a seat and senses the corresponding passenger seat belt is unbuckled, the vehicle seat sensor subsystem may alert the flight crew of a non-compliance condition. The crew information system may also, for example, facilitate preparation for take-off by signaling the crew when, for all seats in which passengers are detected, all tray tables are stowed and all seatbelts are buckled. The crew may be similarly informed of overhead bins which are not properly latched. Crew member notifications may advantageously report the specific nonconforming issue and seat or bin position.
