The aircraft seating assembly can include a seat pan, a connection frame, and one or more mounts for removably coupling the seat pan to the connection frame. The aircraft seating assembly can include a back support having a removably coupled cushioning member. The aircraft seating assembly can include a tilt system which can allow the back support to articulate relative to the connection frame. The aircraft seating assembly can include a retention system coupled to the back support, the retention system can retain an object in place when in a closed configuration.

The seatback cover sub-system may include a side panel configured to couple to a portion of the substrate. The side panel may be configured to couple to one or more portions of the dress cover to form the seatback cover sub-system.

A hygienic kit and a method thereof for a hygienic seat location including a stretchable antimicrobial hygienic headrest cover having an ability to conform itself to dimensions of the existing headrest. The cover comprises a stretchable, antimicrobial, a non-mesh fabric configured to provide an impenetrable barrier between a user and the headrest. The headrest has an elastic opening in the back surface allowing the fabric to stretchily fit over an existing headrest. A tray table cover defined by a top panel, a bottom panel, and a sidewall connecting said top and bottom panels thereby creating an opening to a cavity therein is included. A pre-packaged sanitizing wipe is included to sanitize the seating location, and a container is included to encapsulate the pre-packaged sanitizing wipe, the tray table cover, and the stretchable headrest cover, wherein the headrest cover and the tray table cover are compressed.

Diaphragm attachment method for aircraft seating

An aircraft seating system includes spreaders having restricted channels to receive a portion of diaphragm wrapped around a cord to hold the diaphragm in place at each side. The diaphragm includes a second or core layer of fabric within the diaphragm to increase the strength of the diaphragm, provide ventilation, and/or provide cushioning. The spreaders may include restricted channels to receive a diaphragm and cord for a seat back portion. The seat back portion and seat bottom portion may be a single piece or separate pieces.

APPARATUS FOR MATTRESS RETENTION IN AN AIRCRAFT PASSENGER COMPARTMENT

The present application relates to securing a mattress within an aircraft including a pliable enclosure configured for enclosing a cushion including a fastener system for providing access to an interior of the pliable enclosure when the fastener system is in an open state and for restraining the mattress when the fastener system is in a closed state and wherein the pliable enclosure has a top surface and a bottom surface and a strapping system affixed to the bottom surface wherein the strapping system includes a strap extension affixed to the strapping system wherein the strap extension is configured to be received by a retention clip secured to a bed support platform.

INTEGRATED SEAT PAN CUSHION STRUCTURE

A completely integrated metallic seat pan with a negative stiffness includes a seat pan base, an internal metallic lattice, and a metallic seat pan cover surrounding the metallic lattice. The metallic lattice and seat pan cover elastically deform to absorb the weight of the crewmember and provide cushioning. The seat pan cover is contoured. Portions of the contoured seat pan cover may have greater or lesser cross-sectional thickness to provide variable negative stiffness at different locations on the seat pan.

Double-deck passenger vehicle

A conventional passenger vehicle has a lower deck and an upper deck on both sides of its aisle to double its seating areas. Each deck has ceiling and seat heights about the same as that in sedans, and hence without substantially increasing the vehicle height. Both decks are divided into seating sections with partition walls, and in a seating section each deck contains only a row of power reclining seats. Each seat has a power footrest mounted separately on the partition wall in front of the seat for sitting comfort and forming a bed with the seat. The footrest can also be placed to higher elevations to use as a table for eating or working. The footrest is stored vertically to allow more leg room for the seat. In some section of the vehicle each seating section may mount two rows of sitting-only seats to increase the vehicle capacity.

PRIVATE SUITE FOR ECONOMY CABIN SPACE IN AIRCRAFT

An economy class (Y class) private suite includes a continuous seatback and a stowable aisle-side panel. The continuous seatback covers the gaps between seats of a 3-seat or 4-seat PAX and the stowable aisle-side panel slides to close off the PAX from the aisle when desirable. Each seat in the PAX includes an extension element to extend from the anterior surface of the seat cushion and establish a substantially flat surface including the seat cushions and extension elements. A separate padded element may be placed over the substantially flat surface. Each seatback cushion in the PAX is removable and reconfigurable as a reclining support or expanded armrest.

Passenger seat dress cover with integrated adjustable lumbar support device

A dress cover installable over a seatback of a passenger seat and having an integrated adjustable lumbar support device is disclosed. In embodiments, the dress cover includes a fabric outer shell and a seat cushion within the outer shell. The lumbar support device is disposed inside a pocket set into the dress cover and corresponding to the lumbar area of the seat occupant. The pocket extends laterally between left-side and right-side slots, each slot held closed by a zipper within which a slider tracks up and down to adjust the lumbar support device. As the slider tracks along the zipper it opens and closes the zipper within the body of the slider, maintaining its slot in a closed configuration. By adjusting the sliders up or down, the occupant may adjust the position of the lumbar support device through the dress cover.

SEAT DIVIDER SAIL

A vertical seat blocking/divider device includes a seat back connector and a seat cushion connector. The vertical seat blocking/divider device is disposed on the center of an aircraft seat to block occupancy of the aircraft seat and establish a barrier between neighboring seats. In a further aspect, the vertical seat blocking/divider device includes a spring element to apply a force to the fabric of the seat blocking/divider device. In a further aspect, the vertical seat blocking/divider device may include armrest connectors on opposing surfaces so that the vertical seat blocking/divider device can be disposed between occupied seats to create a barrier between passengers.
