PASSENGER SEAT ARMREST RECLINE MECHANISM
20230312107 · 2023-10-05 ·

A passenger seat for an aircraft is described. The passenger seat is configurable between an upright position and a bed position. The upright position may be provided for taxi, take-off and landing events. The bed position, also referred to as a lie-flat position, is provided for long-haul travel in comfort. The passenger seat includes a seat pan, a seatback, and an armrest. The seat pan, the seatback, and the armrest form a kinematic chain by a number of pivot joints. The passenger seat also includes a linkage connecting the seat pan and the armrest. By the linkage, the armrest follows a motion of the seat pan when the passenger seat is reconfigured.

VEHICLE SEATING ROWS FOR INCREASING CROSS AISLE SPACE

A vehicle seating row for installation in a passenger cabin adjacent an aisle. The seating row includes a framework including at least two laterally adjacent seats. The framework for the outboard most seat is fixed whereas framework for the inboard seat(s) includes a front leg coupled to a front transverse beam movable together toward the rear transverse beam to shorten the length of the at least one second seat to increase cross aisle space to facilitate seat ingress and egress during respective boarding and deplaning. An actuator is operative to displace the front leg and front transverse beam between first and second positions.

A leg assembly for a passenger seat for a vehicle such as an aircraft includes a forward leg and an aft leg. The forward leg includes a top end and a bottom end opposite the top end, and the top end of the forward leg includes a forward aperture for receiving a first base frame tube of the passenger seat. The aft leg includes a top end, a bottom end, a forward side, and an aft side, and the top end of the aft leg includes an aft aperture for receiving a second base frame tube of the passenger seat. The forward side at the aft aperture of the aft leg may be a forward-most portion of the aft leg, and the aft leg is indirectly connected to the forward leg.

Seat unit and lower structure thereof

A seat unit and a lower structure thereof that are not restricted in their positional relationship with seat tracks provided in advance in the airframe. One representative seat unit of the present invention and the lower structure thereof includes a hollow structure integrally formed using a composite member. The hollow structure is hollow in a front direction of the seat unit. The hollow structure has a quadrilateral shape in the front direction of the seat unit. In addition, a partition plate is disposed in the hollow structure. Furthermore, the lower structure includes attachment points to an aircraft at three locations on its bottom. In addition, a block is embedded in the composite member at the attachment point, and a thickness of the composite member around a bracket coupled to the block is less than thickness at other locations.

Disclosed is a modular seat for aircraft. The system has a frame that is able to be interconnected with other frames laterally. Since each lateral frame has the same pivot points (when viewed from the side), the linked seats rotate together. The seats also include buckle lugs which enable a particular seat to be used on either side of the aircraft.

Gravity-assisted tracking base assembly for aircraft seat
11542014 · 2023-01-03 · ·

A gravity-assisted tracking base assembly for an aircraft seat includes base rails mounted to floor tracks in an aircraft cabin by floor track fittings in fixed positions, the base rails connected by a tracking member for providing longitudinal tracking while minimizing added height. The base rails include tracking slots extending longitudinally, and the tracking member includes tracking elements translatable forward and backward along the tracking slots, allowing an aircraft seat mounted to the tracking member to translate forward and backward relative to the base. The tracking member includes a locking mechanism for locking the tracking member and seat in intermediate positions within the tracking slots. The tracking slots may be oriented slightly downward from the horizontal to allow for gravity-assisted tracking or to counteract the nose-up flight angles associated with cruising altitude, providing for easier seat tracking.

Air passenger seat comprising a frame, and row of seats

The present invention proposes an air passenger seat comprising a frame that is designed to be fastened to a floor in an air passenger cabin, the frame comprising a seat divider and rails running transversely to the seat direction, wherein: the seat divider is held in place by the rails and is disposed behind a first front rail, which is positioned in front, with regard to the seat direction of the rail; and wherein perpendicular to a plane, which is formed by points for fastening the frame to the floor of an air passenger cabin, is a height difference between the rails so that the rear rail is positioned above the front rail at least by a difference d of 20 mm.

Aircraft seat

A seat base includes a plurality of linear actuators each having a first end pivotally mounted to a base member and a second end pivotally mounted to a seat member. A controller is adapted for controlling an extension length of each of the plurality of linear actuators in a coordinated manner for adjusting a position of the seat member with six degrees-of-freedom and for damping vibration of the seat member. An active vibration mitigation method for reducing vibrations of an aircraft seat includes receiving vibration data from one or more accelerometers mounted to the aircraft seat and determining a vibration profile based on the vibration data. When vibration mitigation is warranted, control signals for damping vibration are determined and transmitted to a plurality of linear actuators adapted to support the aircraft seat.

Passenger seat with support structure including offset struts

A passenger seat for an aircraft, including a bottom support configured to be connected to a floor of the aircraft, a seat pan frame, and a support structure interconnecting the seat pan frame to the bottom support, the support structure including a front support member pivotally connected to a front end of the seat pan frame, the front support member including a respective strut on each side of the seat pan frame, each respective strut having a bottom end rigidly connected to the bottom support and an opposed top end located under the seat pan frame, the bottom end being inwardly, downwardly and rearwardly offset with respect to the top end.
