Leg restraint system for ejection seats
A leg restraint system for an ejection seat may comprise a leg restraint and a reel assembly coupled to the leg restraint. The reel assembly may include a drum configured to rotate about an axis. The leg restraint may be configured to wind around the drum in response to rotation of the drum about the axis.
ANTI-CRASH HELICOPTER SEAT INTEGRATING MULTIPLE PROTECTIONS
An anti-crash helicopter seat integrating multiple protections, including a main framework, a weighing sensor, a magnetorheological damper system, an upper body forced tensioning and quick disengagement system, a seat pan, a multifunctional vest and a controller, wherein the seat pan is slidably connected with the main framework in a vertical direction, the magnetorheological damper system is fixedly arranged on the seat pan and is connected with the main framework by the weighing sensor, the upper body forced tensioning and quick disengagement system is arranged on the seat pan, the multifunctional vest is connected with the seat pan by the upper body forced tensioning and quick disengagement system, and the controller is connected with the weighing sensor and the magnetorheological damper system respectively.
Seat pan adjustment system for ejection seats
A seat pan adjustment system for an ejection seat may comprise a guide bracket defining a channel and a seat pan mount configured to translate relative to the guide bracket. A support bracket may extend from a surface of the seat pan mount. A rod may be located through a rod opening defined by the support bracket. The rod may be located in the channel. A biasing member may be coupled to the rod and configured to force the rod away from the surface of the seat pan mount.
Adjustable leg restraints for ejection seats
An adjustable leg restraint for an ejection seat may be configured to translate between an extended state and a nonextended state. The adjustable leg restraint may include a leg located proximate a side panel of the ejection seat. An extension flange may be coupled to the leg guard. The extension flange may be configured to translate the leg guard relative to the side panel of the ejection seat.
Hybrid power tri-propeller helicopter apparatus
A hybrid power tri-propeller helicopter apparatus for efficient and quiet flying includes a helicopter body, a cockpit portion, an engine portion, a tail boom portion, a gas motor, a generator, a battery pack, and an electric nose motor. A nose propeller and a lift propeller support are coupled to the helicopter body. A pair of electric lift motors is coupled to the lift propeller support and is in operational communication with the battery pack. A pair of lift propellers is coupled to the pair of lift motors. A tail fin and a pair of horizontal rear stabilizer fins are coupled to the tail boom portion. A pair of front stabilizer fins is coupled to the cockpit portion. A plurality of controls is coupled to the cockpit portion and is in operational communication with the nose motor, the pair of lift motors, and the pair of rear stabilizer fins.
Systems and methods for preventing the stowage of ejection seat arm catcher members
The present disclosure provides an arm catcher system for an aircraft ejection seat. The arm catcher system may comprise a first support member configured to rotate in a first direction to be deployed in response to an ejection event and a first persistent locking mechanism coupled to the first support member, wherein the first persistent locking mechanism is configured to allow the support member to rotate in the first direction and configured to prevent the first support member from rotating in a second direction opposite the first direction.
SEAT CUSHION LENGTH ADJUSTER FOR EJECTION SEAT
A cushion length adjusting system for use in an ejection seat of an aircraft may comprise a seat pan and first cushion length adjuster coupled to the seat pan. The cushion length adjuster may be hingedly or slidingly coupled to the seat pan. The cushion length adjuster may be configured to adjust a leg support length for greater ergonomics for a pilot of an aircraft.
CONFIGURABLE VEHICLE SEAT AND METHOD THEREFOR
An adjustable vehicle seat including a seat frame forming a seat back, the seat frame being configured to couple with an aerospace vehicle, and a seat pan coupled to the seat frame, where one or more of the seat frame and the seat pan is configured to couple the seat pan to the seat frame in one of a plurality of positions relative to the seat frame so that an eye position of a seat occupant relative to instrumentation within the aerospace vehicle is decoupled from a size of the seat occupant.
Aircraft pilot seat
A pilot's seat offering an evacuation device. The seat comprises a ladder fixed to the rear of the back and covered by a detachable cover associated with the seat and deployable between a storage position retracted inside the cover and a deployed evacuation position, in which case the cover is detached. Thus, the evacuation device is incorporated harmoniously into the seat which offers a solid base for the evacuation ladder.
Arm restraint latch release assembly
An arm restraint assembly for an ejection seat may comprise a primary arm configured to pivot about a primary arm pivot joint. A latch may be coupled to the primary arm. The latch may comprise a first pair of lugs and may be configured to pivot relative to the primary arm. A primary shear pin may extend between the first pair of lugs. A lanyard may be coupled to the primary shear pin.
