An aircraft cabin attendant seat is disclosed. In some embodiments, the aircraft cabin attendant seat includes a support element extending from a cabin floor. The support element includes at least two coupled support element subsections configured to at least one of slide or fold onto each other. In some embodiments, a coupler is configured to attach the support element to the cabin floor. The aircraft cabin attendant seat further includes a backrest and a headrest that is coupled to the support element. The aircraft cabin attendant seat includes a seating portion coupled to the support element. The seating portion includes both seat and a hinge configured to connect the seat to the support element, where the seat is configured to retract from a seated position into a storage position.

Disclosed is a door assembly for enclosing a compartment, for instance a cabin attendant seat (CAS) compartment. The assembly generally includes spaced guides for guiding opening and closing movement of a bi-fold door including coupled upper and lower door sections. The door sections are coupled through an interface that allows vertical displacement of the lower door section relative to the upper door section when the door assembly is in the closed condition to engage or disengage latches from respective catches. In some embodiments, the assembly further includes cam latches and a biasing mechanism for driving bi-fold door movement toward the open condition, among other features.

The interconnected panels unfold into a horizontal workspace and, beneath the workspace, a series of vertically stacked storage bays capable of accommodating storage drawers and a cart bay configured for temporary accommodation of a half-size galley cart.

The actuation assembly may be configured to actuate the primary cabin attendant seat relative to the auxiliary cabin attendant seat between a stowed seat position and a deployed seat position. The primary cabin attendant seat and the auxiliary cabin attendant seat may be arranged in a side-by-side configuration when the primary cabin attendant seat is in the deployed seat position. The primary cabin attendant seat may be stacked on the auxiliary cabin attendant seat when the primary cabin attendant seat is in the stowed seat position.

Disclosed is a height adjustable seat pan assembly such as for use in an aircraft cabin attendant seat. The assembly includes a seat pan supported between spaced frame members defining guide tracks including successive pivot positions each corresponding to a different seat pan height. The seat pan is movable between a deployed condition and a stowed condition in which the seat pan stows generally vertically below a backrest to provide a low profile seat in the stowed condition. Features provided on opposing sides of the seat pan interact with the successive pivot positions in the guide tracks, and the seat can be repositioned to a different pivot position to change the seat pan height. Pivoting motion of the seat pan between the stowed and deployed conditions locks or unlocks the seat pan relative to its aligned successive pivot position.
