Protective Headgear and Shoulder Pad Apparatus and Methods
The invention includes a protective headpiece and components thereof and methods for their use. Preferred examples comprise a helmet component, a plurality of piers joining said helmet component to a shoulder pad component and an inner hat component permitting the wearer the ability to move the head from side to side and/or up and down within the helmet component without moving the helmet component. The helmet component may comprise a plurality of fluid-filled floating plates or floats on the inner surface thereof to cushion the head against impact during activities including, for example, football, race car driving, military activities and the like.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ATHLETE PHYSIOLOGY MONITORING
Disclosed is a smart, physiology monitoring mouthguard (SPMM) system and method for capturing various physiological data of athletes in real-time for health monitoring. The system is configured to provide real-time and/or recorded physiological data of an athlete to a user, and may be configured to record physiological data of the athlete for later retrieval using sensors and communication systems. Sensors may be chosen based on the anticipated activity or sport, the health and age of the athlete, and size and power requirements of the device. Sensors may include accelerometers, gyroscopes, thermometers, hydrometers, pH, electrolyte (e.g., potassium, sodium, etc.) sensors, and the like. These and other sensors may be configured to measure different physiological data of the athlete, including impact, body temperature, hydration, illness, heart rate, and the like. In some embodiments, sensors on the mouthguard are integrated with external sensors (e.g., accelerometers on a helmet, chest-worn heart rate monitor) on the athlete to provide additional or more accurate physiological data.
PROTECTIVE ATHLETIC MOUTH GUARD
A protective mouth guard is provided, comprising a U-shaped top segment molded to fit a user's maxillary teeth consisting of a right and left central incisor, a right and left lateral incisor, a right and left canine, a right and left first premolar, a right and left second premolar and a right and left first molar. A first bottom segment molded to fit the user's mandibular teeth consisting of a right first premolar, a right second premolar, and a right first molar. A second bottom segment molded to fit said user's mandibular teeth consisting of a left first premolar, a left second premolar, and a left first molar. The first segment joined to the first bottom segment via one or more connecting members and to the second bottom segment via the one or more connecting members such that the user's maxillary and mandibular teeth align to achieve a Centric Relation.
Mouthguard with lung exerciser
An athletic mouthguard with lung exercising variable, two-way airflow-restricting valve is disclosed. The mouthguard has a mouthpiece with a lower tooth bed and an upper tooth bed overlying the lower. Outer and an inner sidewall connects the beds. A channel passes between the lower and upper beds with a first end open within the inner sidewall and a second end open within the outer sidewall. Certain embodiments include a channel wall which separates the channel into multiple channels. A manifold in fluid communication with the channel terminates to a centralized aperture with a valve seat. A rotatable valve member in the valve seat has an aperture therethrough.
Motorcycling apparel
Motorcycling apparel, particularly motorcycling jerseys and pants, and methods of manufacture thereof are provided. In the motorcycling pant of the invention, a compressive inner layer is integrally affixed to a protective outer layer. In embodiments, the motorcycling pant includes a zipper for securing the outer layer snugly around a leg of the wearer. The integrally affixed compressive layer and zipper mechanism permit a wearer to put on additional protective gear, e.g. knee braces, over the motorcycling pant with less time and effort than previous motorcycling pants require.

BRACES FRIENDLY MOUTH GUARD
A mouth guard that can be used with elastic band in place on braces provided. In one example, a mouth guard for protecting teeth during athletic activities is provided that includes a generally u-shaped base coupled to inner and outer flanges to form a teeth receiving pocket. A first slot is formed through a left side the outer flange and open though a top of the outer flange. A second slot is formed through a right side the outer flange and open though a top of the outer flange.
Dental appliance
A mouth guard includes a tray configured to encompass at least anterior teeth of a dental arch. The tray includes a pair of protrusions extending away from the tray, each protrusion configured to generally overlie a canine of the dental arch. The protrusions are configured to engage one or more anterior teeth of a dental arch, whereby damage to the at least anterior teeth of the dental arch is reduced or prevented.
MOUTHGUARD INCLUDING A PROTECTION PORTION HAVING HEATING AND SOFTENING FEATURES
A mouthguard according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes an occlusion portion that is configured to be disposed between and engaged by at least some of the upper teeth and at least some of the lower teeth of a wearer. The mouthguard further includes a protection portion coupled to the occlusion portion. The protection portion is configured to be disposed laterally and anteriorly relative to the upper teeth of the wearer. The protection portion includes an interior surface that is configured to face toward the teeth of the wearer. The protection portion further includes an exterior surface opposite the interior surface and configured to face away from the teeth of the wearer. At least a portion of the exterior surface is a textured surface.
IMPACT ABSORBING APPARATUS
An impact absorbing apparatus includes a first chamber including a first chamber wall and a first valve disposed in the first chamber wall. The impact absorbing apparatus includes a second chamber including a second chamber wall and a second valve disposed in the second chamber wall. A plurality of connecting pillars connects the first chamber to the second chamber. The plurality of connecting pillars is configured to shift position in response to a first impact. The first valve is configured to pass air in and out of the first chamber. The second valve is configured to pass air in and out of the second chamber.
