FIREARM HAVING TACTILE BIOFEEDBACK REFERENCE FEATURE
A firearm that provides a user with tactile biofeedback. The firearm includes a tactile reference feature that extends longitudinally along an exterior body surface and is formed with dimensions specifically tailored to harness the user's natural attributes of sensibility, proprioception, and neuromuscular memory to improve a user's accuracy.
TRAINING DEVICE FOR RACQUET SPORTS
A tennis training aid includes a glove and a wrist brace. An attachment mechanism extends between the back side of the glove and the wrist brace. The attachment mechanism has a first piece releasably connected to second piece so as to secure the glove, and thus the hand, at a desired angle relative to the wrist brace, and thus the wrist. The attachment mechanism preferably has an adjustable length so as to select the desired angle. Preferably, the attachment mechanism is a strap clip. The tennis training aid can also include both right-handed and left-handed gloves so as to accommodate for users having different dominant hands and allowing for use of the training device for the serve toss and the forehand and backhand strokes.
SPORTS RACQUET HAVING A BENDING ZONE
The invention relates to a sports racquet having a head having a string bed is attached to two throat beams that extend continuously downward to a shaft having a handle. Each throat beam contains a bending zone in which the width of the throat beam parallel to the string bed and the width of the same throat beam perpendicular to the string bed gradually changes in equal, but opposite, dimensions such that the circumference of the throat beam remains substantially constant through at least the length of the bending zone or the length of the entire throat beam. Where the width of the throat beam parallel to the string bed is the widest and the width of the throat beam perpendicular to the string beg is the narrowest defines the flexible cross-section or flex point of the bending zone.
Method of Manufacturing an Elongated Article, Elongated Article, Obtainable by the Method, and Weight Distributing System, Adapted to be Provided in an Inner Cavity of the Elongated Article
The invention relates to a method of manufacturing an elongated article having a shaft and a functional head section. The method includes the steps of providing a dimensionally stable core mandrel; overlaying first reinforcing fibers onto the core mandrel to form one or more first wall parts; providing at least one shaping element to the overlaid core mandrel; overlaying second reinforcing fibers onto the core mandrel and the at least one shaping element to form one or more second wall parts; and providing a matrix material and consolidating the matrix material. The core mandrel is provided to form an elongated article having a well defined inner cavity. Overlaying fibers is preferably performed by in-situ braiding. The cross-section of the elongated article includes fiber reinforced wall parts that impart stiffness to the article. The inner cavity may be filled with weight distributing element(s).
MOTION SENSOR IN A SPORTS INSTRUMENT
A solution is provided to enhance motion detection and recognition of moving objects associated with various sports by embedding motion sensors into sports instruments such as tennis rackets, badminton rackets, baseball bats and golf clubs, that are swung in a three-dimensional (3D) space. A motion sensor device inserted and locked inside a sports instrument is configured to detect motions associated with movements associated with the sports instrument. The device is shaped to be inserted into a sensor housing attached to a selected location inside the sports instrument. The device includes a motion sensor for detecting motion associated with the movement of the sports instrument, a cover for protecting the motion sensor, and a locking mechanism attached to the sensor housing for locking the motion sensor inside the sensor housing.
Handle for sports or work equipment and equipment comprising the handle
A handle for sport equipment comprises a tubular body (7) which extends along a longitudinal axis (L) and has an outer peripheral surface (8) adapted to be grasped by a user and shaped with a plurality of longitudinal faces (9) placed side by side in correspondence of edges (10) adapted to facilitate the positioning of the finger joints of the gripping hand by the user. The edges (10) are arranged along at least one pair of helical or spiral paths that develop around said longitudinal axis (L) with mutually opposite sign to subdivide each of said longitudinal faces (9) into a plurality of areas or flat surfaces (11) sized to accommodate a corresponding phalanx of the gripping hand of the user, each of said areas or flat surfaces (11) being perimetrically delimited by at least one pair of edges (10, 10) of each of the helical or spiral paths.
Portable badminton net rack
A portable badminton net rack includes a box, a first support rod, a second support rod, a net, a battledore and a badminton, the box includes an upper box and a lower box hinged to the upper box, an accommodation groove is defined in the lower box, the accommodation groove is configured to accommodate the net, the battledore and the badminton, the first support rod and the second support rod are each configured as a telescopic rod and are hinged to two sides of the lower box, respectively, each side of the net is provided with a connecting bush, and when the portable badminton net rack is in a use state, a first connecting bush of the two connecting bushes is sleeved on the first support rod, and a second connecting bush of the two connecting bushes is sleeved on the second support rod.
Negative Poisson's ratio materials for racquets and golf tees
A racquet includes a handle; and a frame connected to an end of the handle, the frame defining a rounded interior space, the frame including a negative Poisson's ratio (NPR) foam material, in which the NPR foam material, and in which the frame has a Poisson's ratio of between 0 and 1; and a network of strings stretched across the rounded interior space defined by the frame. A golf tee includes an elongated stem; and a head disposed at an end of the elongated stem and shaped to receive a golf ball; in which at least a portion of the golf tee is formed of a negative Poisson's ratio (NPR) foam material, in which the portion of the golf tee has a Poisson's ratio of between 0 and 1, and in which the NPR foam material includes an NPR metal foam, an NPR ceramic foam, or an NPR-PPR composite foam.
Sports Implement Having Asymmetric Grip
A sports implement includes a main body portion, a handle portion extending from the main body portion, and a grip member. The main body portion includes a first contact surface, a second contact surface, and a sidewall positioned about a perimeter of each of the first and the second contact surfaces. The handle portion defines a handle central axis extending therethrough. The grip member includes a grip body portion and a grip end portion.
