SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PARACHUTE DEPLOYMENT
A parachute vent reefing system is disclosed. The parachute vent reefing system includes a plurality of attachment members disposed about a vent portion of a parachute canopy and a keeper routed between each attachment member of said plurality of attachment members. The keeper has a diameter less than the diameter of the vent portion and is configured to break at a preselected tensile threshold.
BALLISTICALLY-DEPLOYED CONTROLLABLE PARASAIL
In an example, a recovery system is shown, the recovery system comprising: a housing; a parasail comprising a canopy coupled within the housing fastened by a releasable fastener, wherein the parasail is compressed into a compact mass and is configured to rapidly expand; primary ballistics attached to the parasail, wherein the primary ballistics are configured to launch the parachute from the housing; and a guidance system within the housing wherein the guidance system is configured to steer the parasail and guide the recovery system to a landing site.

Device to orient a riser of a parachute
A device to orient a riser of a parachute. The device can include a twist body that is includes a slot through which the riser passes. The slot includes a twist to change the orientation of the riser from a relatively high-profile orientation to a relatively low-profile orientation. The device can also include a link to connect the riser to the suspension lines on the canopy.

RELEASE MECHANISM DEVICE, PARACHUTE SYSTEMS AND PARACHUTE STABILIZATION
An article of manufacture, a force reduction release mechanism and system for selectively maintaining and releasing components under tensile tension, the release mechanism offering mechanical gain such that the force required to activate a release between the components is a mere fraction of the heavy tensile tension force. Other aspects of the invention include novel cargo parachute system utilizing the release mechanism and a parachute stabilization arrangement utilizing at least one releasable stabilization anchor.
