Gas turbine engine configuration data synchronization with a ground-based system
A system includes an engine manufacturer database communicatively coupled to a blockchain database through a network and a ground station configured to wirelessly communicate with a communication adapter of a gas turbine engine of an aircraft. The communication adapter includes a communication interface configured to communicate with an engine control of a gas turbine engine. The system is further configured to monitor the blockchain database for a configuration update associated with the aircraft and update the engine manufacturer database based on the configuration update. The system is further configured to command a synchronization of the configuration update from the engine manufacturer database to a communication adapter of the gas turbine engine tracked by the engine manufacturer database and transmit the configuration update wirelessly to the communication adapter through the communication interface to update a data storage unit of the gas turbine engine with the configuration update.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR FLIGHT CONTROL CONFIGURED FOR USE IN AN ELECTRIC AIRCRAFT
A system for flight control configured for use in an electric aircraft includes a sensor configured to capture an input datum. The system includes an inertial measurement unit (IMU) and configured to detect an aircraft angle and an aircraft angle rate. The system includes a flight controller including an outer loop controller configured to receive the input datum from the sensor, receive the aircraft angle from the IMU, and generate a rate setpoint as a function of the input datum. The system includes an inner loop controller configured to receive the aircraft angle rate, receive the rate setpoint from the outer loop controller, and generate a moment datum as a function of the rate setpoint. The system includes a mixer configured to receive the moment datum, map vehicle level control torques, received from the inner loop controller, to actuator output and generate a motor command datum as a function of the torque allocation.
A VERTICAL TAKE-OFF AND LANDING (VTOL) AIRCRAFT
In an aspect, a vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) aircraft is disclosed. The VTOL aircraft includes at least a lift component affixed to the aft end of a boom, wherein the lift component is configured to generate lift. The VTOL includes a fuselage comprising a fore end and an aft end. Additionally, VTOL aircraft includes a tail affixed to the aft end of a fuselage. A tail includes a plurality of vertically projecting elements, wherein the plurality vertically projecting elements are affixed at the aft end of the boom and positioned outside of the wake from the at least a lift component.
AUTOMATIC BLADE PITCH CONTROL
The invention relates to a method for controlling a pitch angle of the vanes or blades of a propellant body of a turbine engine, comprising generating a pitch command (i.sub.final) according to a rotational speed of the propeller (XN.sub.mes) and a speed setpoint (XN.sub.cons), the method comprises a nominal regulating chain (13), wherein the pitch command is further generated according to a value of a pitch angle (βmes) of the vanes or blades of the propellant body, and an off-nominal regulating chain (16), wherein the pitch command is generated independently of a value of a pitch angle of the vanes or blades of the propellant body.
ADJUSTING LOAD ON TETHERED AIRCRAFT
A system for adjusting a load on a tethered aircraft is disclosed. The aircraft is tethered to a payload. The system determines a new position for the tethered aircraft in the event that due to environmental effects, e.g., the aircraft is flying upwind or downwind, the load experienced by the tethered aircraft is not optimal.
