HEAT ENGINE WITH STEAM SUPPLY DEVICE
A heat engine, in particular an aircraft engine, having a first compressor for supplying a combustion chamber of the heat engine with air and a first turbine arranged downstream of the combustion chamber for driving the first compressor, wherein the heat engine also has at least one steam supply line for supplying steam from a steam source into the combustion chamber. The heat engine also has a steam supply device, which has a second compressor and is designed to compress the working gas further by the second compressor as a function of a mass flow conducted through the steam supply line, before the working gas flows into the combustion chamber.
Integrated thermal management apparatus
The present invention is directed to an apparatus for managing thermal energy of an electric aircraft energy source. Apparatus may include fins, which extend from a skin of electric aircraft. The energy source may bias or be adjacent to the fins so that heat energy may dissipate from the energy source and through the fins and, thus, the skin. A coolant may also be run through the apparatus, where the coolant may flow through channels that are disposed between the fins.

HEAT EXCHANGERS
A heat exchanger which may be used in an engine, such as a vehicle engine for an aircraft or orbital launch vehicle is provided. The heat exchanger may be configured as generally drum-shaped with a multitude of spiral sections, each containing numerous small diameter tubes. The spiral sections may spiral inside one another. The heat exchanger may include a support structure with a plurality of mutually axially spaced hoop supports, and may incorporate an intermediate header. The heat exchanger may incorporate recycling of methanol or other antifreeze used to prevent blocking of the heat exchanger due to frost or ice formation.
Aircraft having a single fluid inlet aperture
An aircraft includes a machine body that encloses a turbofan gas turbine engine and a plurality of ancillary systems. The turbofan gas turbine engine includes, in axial flow sequence, a first heat exchanger module, a fan assembly, a compressor module, a combustor module, a turbine module, and an exhaust module. The aircraft includes a second heat exchanger module. The machine body comprises a single fluid inlet aperture, with the fluid inlet aperture being configured to allow a fluid cooling flow to enter the machine body and to pass through the first heat exchanger module. When a temperature of the fluid cooling flow is less than a temperature of a fluid to be cooled, the fluid to be cooled is directed to the first heat exchanger module, and when a temperature of the fluid cooling flow is greater than a temperature of the fluid to be cooled, the fluid to be cooled is directed to the second heat exchanger module and cooled using a fuel supply for the gas turbine engine.
