Drone aircraft
A drone aircraft has a main body with a circular shape and a circular outer periphery. One or more rotor blades extend substantially horizontally outward from the main body at or about the circular outer periphery. In addition, one or more counter-rotation blades extend substantially horizontally outward from said main body at or about the circular outer periphery, but vertically offset from the main rotor blades. The main rotor blades are connected to a first annular gear that rotates in a first direction and the counter-rotation blades rotate are connected to a second annular gear that rotates in a second direction that is opposite the first direction for anti-torque. Planetary gears simultaneously drive the first and second annular gear at about the same speed.

Contra-rotating open fan propulsion system
In one aspect a propulsion system comprises an engine and a drive assembly coupled to the engine, comprising a first driveshaft rotatable in a first direction about a first axis, a first fan coupled to the first driveshaft to rotate in the first direction, and a clutch assembly to selectively disengage the first fan from the first driveshaft. Other aspects may be described.
Arrowhead aircraft
An arrowhead aircraft includes a pair of counter-rotating propellers, a jet engine module, and an exhausted module, wherein the counter-rotating propellers propel the aircraft but does not have angular momentum, and the exhausted module deployed around the exhausted end of the jet engine module, which reuses the waste heat from the exhausted end and reduces the noise. Wherein, the airflow system includes a shutter deployed at the bottom side of the body that controls the streamlines of airflow through the aircraft and a plurality of airfoils that will force the aircraft tilted to the desired direction. The present invention resolved the helicopter's vulnerabilities, such as its intricate mechanism, dragging response, dangers blades, hard to control angular momentum, high cost, and high training level.
ROTARY-WING VEHICLE AND SYSTEM
An apparatus comprising a body defining a first vertical axis, two or more frame members each having a longitudinal axis and having an inner-end and an outer-end connected to the body at the inner-end and where a first horizontal geometrical plane is generally coincident with the longitudinal axis of each of the two or more frame members and where the first horizontal geometrical plane is generally orthogonal to the first vertical axis, two or more rotary-wings each comprising one or more blades whose rotation defines a first rotational axis which is configurable to be nearly parallel with the first vertical axis and comprising a second rotational axis which is configurable to be approximately parallel first horizontal geometrical plane where a first of the two or more rotary-wings having a blade-inner-end and a first blade-outer-end rotatably connected by its blade-inner-end to a first transmission is disposed substantially on the outer-end of a first of the two or more frame members, a second of the two or more rotary-wings having a blade-inner-end and a blade-outer-end rotatably connected by its blade-inner-end to a second transmission is disposed substantially on the outer-end of a second of the two or more frame members, where each of the first rotational axes is disposed on the opposite side of plane which is coincident with the first vertical axis, where the direction of rotation of a first of the two or more rotary-wings about its first rotational axis is opposite of that of the second of the two or more rotary-wings about its first rotational axis, and, where the rotational disk defined by the rotation of the blade-outer-end of the first of the two or more rotary-wings is at least partially coincident with rotational disk defined by the rotation of the blade-outer-end of the second of the two or more rotary-wings.

Turbomachine having inner and outer fans with hub-tip ratios
An axial flow turbomachine (102) for producing thrust to propel an aircraft is shown. The turbomachine has an inner duct (202) and an outer duct (204), both of which are annular and concentric with one another. An inner fan (206) is located in the inner duct, and is configured to produce a primary pressurised flow (P). An outer fan (207) is located in an outer duct, and is configured to produce a secondary pressurised flow (S). The outer fan has a hollow hub (208) through which the inner duct passes. A hub-tip ratio of the outer fan is from 1.6 to 2.2 times a hub-tip ratio of the inner fan.
